They were passed up by a true freshman. Also Indiana brought in a commitment this past week from a very good JUCO QB named Cameron Coffman who had offers from amongst others, Nebraska out of high school.

Hahaha..........it continues to get better and better.
Gunner Kiel, who I've accused before of being pampered by an overzealous father is now apparently going to de-commit from LSU and give his pledge to Notre Dame. This family is a bunch of losers, I think IU is dodging a bullet getting this family as far away from it's football program as possible.

I was just coming here to post this...
I am thinking this kid is going to be a bust, just doesn't seem like he knows what he wants at the next level.
I told them I would only play if I could play tennis, Basketball, Football, and Curling. The curling coach didn't like me...oh well, the search continues.

AMAZING hire today by Kevin Wilson. Jon Fabris joins Indiana football staff as D-ends coach. Fabris has worked at Georgia, Ga. Tech, Notre Dame, K-St, , S. Carolina, NFL's Browns, etc. Amongst others that he recruited to GA, he was the lead recruiter for AJ Greene and Mike Pollack. This is a STEAL for IU! "Fabris coached Georgia's defensive ends from 2001-09. Sporting News recognized him as the best position coach in the Southeastern Conference in 2009 and Rivals.com honored him as one of the top 20 national recruiters in 2008. During his tenure in Athens, the Bulldogs won 90 games, including two SEC Championships, three SEC Eastern Division titles and six bowl games. UGA also boasted six top 10 finishes in the final national polls, including No. 2 in 2007 and No. 3 in 2002." iuhoosiers.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/012012aab.html

O'Fallon, IL LB Mike Cotton didn't make a switch from Indiana to Illinois like you thought he would. He made the switch from Indiana to Northern Illinois. He's good enough for the B1G Ten, so there must be some grade issues there.

100% Academics.............the guy that handles IUFB recruiting said that Wilson/Staff told Cotton to start looking for other options because of his grades.

Nathan was being heavily recruited by new Indiana Offensive Coordinator Seth Litrell while at Arizona. His other offers were Arizona, New Mexico State, and Stanford.

Well this doesn't happen everyday for IU Football:
4-Star Offensive Lineman Richy Klepal (Tampa, FL)
"I was originally born in Wisconsin, but from the age of three to around when I was eight we lived in Bloomington," he said. "The early years of my childhood I really remember going to Assembly Hall. My dad was a big Coach (Bobby) Knight fan and a big Indiana fan. He developed a personal relationship with Coach Knight that we still have today. He is also an Indiana University alum, and my mom went to graduate school there. It was always the team we rooted for. Even down here in Tampa my dad always made sure we had satellite TV so that we could get the Big Ten Network and still follow them. So we've been Indiana fans for a while."
The big lineman also has a personal connection to Indiana offensive line coach Greg Frey, who he has known since Frey's days as an assistant at Michigan.

I'd be alright with that. That chair being thrown will always be more famous and recognizable than ANYTHING Illinois Basketball Related.
