Indiana looks like Illinois did in 2005 and 2006. Not sure they have a Rashard Mendenhall down the pipe to pull them out of it.

Doubtful, but I feel Stephen Houston gives IU as good a chance as any. Here are the top rushers for IU this season.
Stephen Houston (SO) - 151 Carries, 802 Yds, 8 TD Tre Roberson (FR) - 109 Carries, 426 Yds, 2 TD D'Angelo Roberts (FR) - 61 Carries, 263 Yds, 4 TD Matt Perez (FR) - 58 Carries, 195 Yds, 4 TD Kofi Hughs (SO) - 27 Carries, 162 Yds, 0 TD

Here is a big pick up for IU.
6'6" 325LB offensive linemen/defensive tackle Ralphael Green has just committed to the Hoosiers. He is a 3-Star prospect from Texas, picking the Hoosiers over Houston, Colorado, Missouri, New Mexico, Etc.

Hoosiers just hired Seth Litrell as Offensive Coordinator.
Littrell arrives in Bloomington from the University of Arizona, where his 2011 offense ranked third nationally in passing offense (370.8) and 15th in total offense (465.2).

They also had Nick Foles at QB who many analysts are saying will go in the 2nd round of this year's NFL Draft so... As Illinois' inept offense showed this year after having a huge 2010 season behind 2nd round RB Mikel Leshoure, sometimes one excellent player can make all the difference.

You never know...........the guys background in coaching suggests he knows a few things about developing QB's and scoring points. His previous stop was at Texas Tech, he played at Oklahoma under Kevin Wilson. And it's not like he has a no talent waiting for him in Bloomington. Tre Roberson is a very solid prospect at QB...and can lead a Big Ten level offense.

I think he'll be good, but I also think you're overstating Robinson. He's Nathan Scheelhaase part 2, but not as fast.

First day on the job, Litrell has secured a visit from JUCO QB Bo Wallace. Bo has an offer from Mississippi State and visits lined up for Baylor and Texas. He was the National JUCO POY...leading his team to the National Championship and throwing for over 4,000 yards along the way.
He's a 6'5" Pro-Style QB.

Indiana commit Sebastian Smith (Ohio) has backed out of his commitment and set up a visit to Nebraska. This marks the second year in a row Nebraska has invaded Indiana's defensive commitments.

Indiana commit Sebastian Smith (Ohio) has backed out of his commitment and set up a visit to Nebraska. This marks the second year in a row Nebraska has invaded Indiana's defensive commitments. Turns out, Sebastian Smith had his scholarship pulled a few months ago due to his academic performance, and a good chance he won't be eligible for his freshman year.

He's a talented back, but his grades/test scores are absolutely atrocious.

BIG TIME Offensive Tackle prospect Jake Meador (Whiteland, IN) officially de-committed from Ole Miss tonight, and he happens to be in the middle of his official visit to Indiana. That is huge for IU in my opinion.
Jake is 6'7" 305 LBS and rated as a 4-Star OT, 33rd best in America.

Dusty Kiel and Edwin Wright-Baker to transfer?!? I know Tre Robinson is the starter for the future, but you need depth and this doesn't help at all.
