I'm not sure why they wouldn't put Bayless on VJ, but I know why VJ wasn't on Bayless. Probably for the same reason that MOST COACHES DONT' MATCH THEIR BEST SCORER AGAINST THE OTHER TEAMS BEST SCORER. I'm sure you understand BASIC Basketball concepts so I don't feel the need to hold your hand like a child. If your best scorer is also your best defender why wouldn't you put him on the other team's best scorer? I want my best stopper on the other team's best scorer. If VJ isn't the best defender on his high school team (which he wasn't) then you've got issues.

it doesn't matter who was guarding him, Bayless appeared to be a much better athlete.

Dominique Keller...........is an random Juco player. His other offers were from basketball powerhouses Charlotte and Oregon State. Stan Simpson.........is a 3 Star Recruit from Illinois. He is the headliner of this recruiting class. Way to go Bruth. Not sure how either of these guys are any different than Pritchard and Dumes. That's basically a "push." Legion is a transfer........let's see him on the court without the issues before we call him amazing. Hmm... how is a transfer after one semester at Kentucky who was the #40 player NATIONALLY in '07 viewed with more skepticism and needs to prove it "on the court" while '08 #126 ranked player and #146 ranked player are given a free pass? There is no sense in that. Illinois recruiting class is not very good......and will fit right in with the guys that are already there that aren't very good. We'll see who beats who next year and for the years after that. I'm going to enjoy the next 5+ years. As far as the rolling on the floor laughing....you just said that two Top 150 players NATIONALLY are unheralded. No I called them role players, just like you yourself called VJ earlier. I called Roth, Dumes, and Pritchard unheralded. You need to retake your 3rd grade reading comprehension class... someone gave you a free pass.

Pritchard certainly isn't unheralded, you don't become the Cleveland Player of the Year by being unheralded. Just because you never read anything about him doesn't mean he is unheralded. He's had a few games on national television as well.
As far as 5+ years HAHAHA. Give me a break HIRG.......
As far as Legion goes, he was a very good High School player.....he brought his issues to college with him and I guarantee they haven't disappeared over the last 3/4 of the year. He will be a good player, but he will not be the dominant player you are anticipating, just consider the fact that he struggled to be a star or role player for the worst Kentucky team in 20+ years.
One final note.........since you've polluted this thread with your basic IBiot board talk. Your team just had a losing record with your coaches entire body of work on the recruiting scene in place. Placing your hopes and dreams on kids that are 16 and won't be on campus for another two years isn't a very safe bet. You'll always be the red-headed step child to Indiana Basketball.....and that's that.

Oh and Mr. "Indiana is the Mecca of Basketball Talent" can you please rationalize for me how you are so excited about the talent that Crean is bringing in when of the 5 players that have committed since he was implemented only 1 of the hale from the Hoosier state? Next year Indiana University will boast: 2 scholarship players from the state of Indiana 3 from Illinois1 from Ohio 1 from Michigan 1 from Alabama The year after that they will still only have 2 from Indiana (Taber graduates, Elston comes in) 3 from Illinois 2 from Ohio 1 from Alabama 1 from Michigan 1 from Connecticut

I'm not upset about that.
How many good kids were still available to be recruited for next year from Indiana? Derek Elston will be joined by another Hoosier to be named later in next years group. And by the way, if I'm going to get anybody from Indiana I want it to be Mr. Basketball, and Elston will be that guy.
2010 is a huge class for the state of Indiana.....I'm not concerned about it.
Now to watch Mike Davis allow Sean May, Eric Gordon, Greg Oden, Mike Conley, Josh McRoberts, Dominic James, Rodney Carney, Courtney Lee, etc slip through the cracks is unacceptable.
Crean WILL NOT allow players of that level to overlook Indiana as easily as Davis did.

One final note.........since you've polluted this thread with your basic IBiot board talk. Your team just had a losing record with your coaches entire body of work on the recruiting scene in place. This isn't fully accurate. Randle was a Self recruit. '08-'09 will be the first year when the entire roster are players that Weber recruited. Placing your hopes and dreams on kids that are 16 and won't be on campus for another two years isn't a very safe bet. Double-speak coming from a guy that can't stop talking about 16 and 17 year-olds. How are Ray McCallum Jr., Deshaun Thomas, and Steven VanTrese doing? You'll always be the red-headed step child to Indiana Basketball.....and that's that. Somebody's not happy that his new coach is picking up the scraps that Weber didn't want (VJ).

I haven't once said that McCallum Jr, Thomas, and VanTrese will be the saviors of Indiana Basketball. In fact, I don't mention them NEARLY as much as you remind us that Illinois has VERBAL commitments from some young guys in Illinois. We know how important those Verbals are though don't we HIRG.
Apparently (judging from last year) it's imperative to recruit the opposite of Bruth Weber. His guys aren't really cutting it now are they. Was that Tennessee Tech or State?

Crean WILL NOT allow players of that level to overlook Indiana as easily as Davis did. Here is what the state of Indiana talent looks like the next 2 years: 2009: DJ Byrd to Purdue Derek Elston to IU Steven Van Trese ? 2010: Deshaun Thomas to Ohio State Dominique Ferguson to Kentucky Ray McCallum Jr. ? Here is what the state of Illinois recruiting looks like: 2009: Brandon Paul to Illinois DJ Richardson to Illinois Chris Colvin ? Jack Cooley to Notre Dame Jordan Prosser ? Joseph Bertrand to Illinois 2010: Jereme Richmond to Illinois Crandell Head to Illinois Lenzelle Smith ? (said to be an Illini lean) Lavonte Dority ? AJ Johnson ?

Is that all the talent in both states? That's odd....you left out a few names.
Anyways..............more good news on the recruiting front (I'm getting used to this)
Rivals 2009 #47 Christian Watford (6'7 SF from Alabama) has IU listed in his top five schools right now with Louisville, Alabama, Memphis, and Missouri.

HIRG........You will be seeing a number of kids from Indianapolis and one from Danville shoot up the list over the next year. We'll pick this conversation up at another time.
bethelwacko.....Crean must be a decent recruiter because he's just picked up commitments from very good players without them ever being on campus! There is a difference between recruiting for Marquette and Indiana.....
