Indiana has officially offered Jordan Hulls a scholarship.
Hulls is a 6'1 true point guard from Bloomington that has been setting the AAU world on fire this year. In the last month Duke, Purdue, and Indiana (among others) have stepped up to the plate for Hulls.

Indiana will be hosting a few targets this weekend.
1. Jordan Prosser......the 6'8 **** PF from Illinois is ranked #93 (class of 2009) nationally by rivals. He narrowed his list down to Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Purdue, and Wisconsin this past week.
2. Maurice Sutton.....the 6'10 *** C from Maryland is not ranked in the top 150, but would bring much needed size and athleticism to a very small lineup at Indiana. He currently has offers from Indiana and Seton Hall. Other schools recruiting Sutton are Kentucky and Villanova. He will be a freshman in college next year. Sutton has tremendous upside and basketball runs in the family. "My mother played at N.C. State, my sister played at North Carolina and my cousin, Chris Gatling, he played in the NBA," said Sutton. "Basketball is a real family tradition."

Indiana has emerged as the "Lone #1" school for *** SF Demetrius Walker from California. Walker is a 6'4 SG/SF. He has offers on the table from UCLA, USC, Memphis, and Villanova among others.

Doc Rivers son Jeremiah will be transferring from Georgetown to Indiana. The 6'4 PG has earned a reputation as a defensive stopper. Coming out of high school Rivers was a *** prospect with offers from:
Georgetown Georgia Tech Kansas Marquette Notre Dame UCLA Wake Forrest Florida Florida State

It was a very good weekend for Indiana Elite One at the AAU May Classic.
The Indiana based team captured their second national event title of the season and weren't really challenged all the way through. They destroyed So-Cal All-Stars which features a pair of UNC Commits as well as anyone else that walked through the door.

I read Scumson's release and it just makes me sick. This guy is blaming everybody but himself.

As discussed before, Maurice Sutton (6'10 Center) was in Bloomington this weekend, here is what he had to say.
"It was like a 12 to be honest," said Sutton. "It was just wonderful. The fan support was just crazy. Everybody was nice and had positive things to say."
"I need to think and my mother did not come with me but that was not the reason I did not make my decision," said Sutton. "I just have to pray on it."

Potentially HUGE news!
Emmanuel Negedu has just received his official release from Arizona. He is going to be picking between Indiana, UMASS, and Tennessee. Obviously Indiana would offer him playing time right away, and would officially make the 2008 recruiting class pretty darned impressive in the short time that Crean has had to put it together.
Negendu is rated as the #40 player in the class of 2008.
He is a 6'6 Power Forward who had offers from the following:
Arizona Florida State Illinois Indiana Iowa Iowa State Kansas Miami Tennessee Wake Forrest

I would expect him to go to IU.

More news today.....this news I'm no so happy about.
7'0 Center Tijan Jobe has accepted an offer from Tom Crean to play at Indiana. Jobe was at Olney Juco this past year...where he averaged 3 pts, 3 rbs, and 6 blocks a game. He is originally from Gambia. P-R-O-J-E-C-T
This means (in my opinion) that Tom Crean has gotten early word that Maurice Sutton is going to go to freaking Villanova where most of the girls are cheating...lying...well nevermind.

Oh Feller... just forget about those 'Nova girls. You're better than that anyway.
As for this new guy what does IU's roster look like for the next 2 years? There has been so much movement in the last few weeks it's hard for a casual observer to keep it straight.

As far as Jobe goes, apparently he is very good friends with Emmanuel Negedu mentioned above, so I think it would be worth a scholarship on a project player to pick up a top 40 player.
Scholarships Numbers:
2009 (2 Scholarships Left) 2010 (2 Scholarships Left)
