It's pretty late in the season to start a thread like this, but I figure I'm not the only Bulls fan on the forum. Also, I didn't think bragging about the Bulls fit into the Fantasy NBA thread. Enough with the disclaimers... this team is for real. They just keep winning. They started off the season 9-8, but have gone 34-10 since then culminating in their third win against the Miami Lebron's today in Miami. They have also had impressive wins at Orlando and at Dallas while beating just about everyone they play at home (26-4 in the United Center this year). I thought they would make a solid step forward this year. However, I thought that would be a 3 seed and lose in the Eastern Conference Semis. Now, I think they could go even further. With their dominance over the Heat and Boston trading away Perkins, the Bulls are a legit threat to win the East. A lot of it is due to the MVP play of point guard Derrick Rose (still think Gordon is better Feller? ;D ), but I would argue that almost as much can be attributed to the Bulls team defense thanks to the coaching of rookie head coach Tom Thibodeau. You also can't downplay the fact that Luol Deng is finally stayed healthy and played solid ball for an entire season thus far (knock on wood). Whatever you attribute it to, the Bulls are playing well and I hope they continue it through June!

Well the owner believes in this team: sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nba/news/story?id=6196843I'm really looking forward to seeing my first live Bulls game Saturday night vs. the Jazz. I was hoping it would be Rose vs. Deron when I first told my friend about the game, but I'll take just seeing the NBA MVP Derrick Rose as they honor my childhood favorite Bulls

HIRG, I've been to quite a few Bulls games. You're going to love it. Where are your seats? The best I did was row 13.

What a game!!! Rose goes for 17 points in the 1st quarter on 5 3's, the Bulls set franchise record for most 3's in a game (18), AND celebration of 1990-91 Championship team!!! There are so many things to talk about. First the actual game... the 1st half was one of the most dominating performances I've seen in a long time. The Bulls were playing amazing shut-down defense that would make John Wooden proud, and they were raining 3's from everywhere (NBA record 13 in the 1st half!). Then came the halftime presentation celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Bulls first championship. Everyone but Cartwright and BJ were there (minus a couple coaches). It was defeaning when they introduced Jordan. When MJ spoke he said he expects more titles out of the Bulls soon!!! At that point the team was out watching the ceremony. How would it feel to get that kind of validation from the best player ever to play who owns another competing team in the league?!?! Awesome, awesome stuff. I was just ticked my camera battery died right before they were announcing Scottie. As for the overall experience I give it an A+. There were two moments when I got chills... first when they announced Rose in the lineups. When the announcer bellowed "FROM CHICAGO" it got so loud in there that it reminded me of a time when he used to yell "FROM NORTH CAROLINA...". It was awesome! The second was when Jordan was announced. The announcer just quit after his first line because no one could hear him and MJ doesn't need any introduction. It was truly an awesome sight. For a life-long Bulls fan this was a really, really cool experience to be able to see the team of my childhood get honored as well as see the team which could be the next to match their accomplishment (winning a title, maybe not 6).

These Bulls are starting to make believers out of lots of people... sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nba/columns/story?columnist=wilbon_michael&id=6215307Oh and Wilbon sat a row in front of my buddy at the game Saturday (his tickets were considerably better than mine). With the Celtics loss last night the Bulls have now tied Boston for first place in the East. With their 29-4 home record this season, getting home court advantage in the playoffs would be quite a big deal and could propel this team in the NBA Finals. I'd love to see it happen, but I still think they go down to Boston in the Conference Finals. They have to pay their dues before they can get to the pinnacle.

The Bulls true test will be when the playoffs start. The east is going to be a battle this year. With the experience of the Celts and the upcoming Heat team, it could be really interesting. My biggest concern with the Bulls is the play of Boozer. I am not sure he has what it takes to give this team what they need come playoff time. In the west, the Thunder are looking stronger and stronger. But then again, my Lakers are turning it up as well. I love the playoffs. 40 games in 40 nights!!

Derrick Rose proved why he is this year's MVP tonight. The Bulls were down 83-79 to the Bucks in Milwaukee with 4:09 left in the game. That's when Rose took over. Over the next 4 minutes and change he had 10 points and 3 assists on 3-3 shooting and he went 4-4 from the free throw stripe as the Bulls outscored the Bucks 16-4 in the stretch and won 95-87.
As we watched the end of the game, my roommate (not a Bulls fan) said... "if you showed an alien with no prior basketball knowledge these last 4 minutes, even he could tell you who is the best player on the floor is. He's on a whole other level." I shook my head in agreement. He's just that good.

Sorry. I have nothing against Rose and am not saying he isn't MVP, but nobody proves they are the MVP by playing the Bucks and Brandon Jennings...

Sorry. I have nothing against Rose and am not saying he isn't MVP, but nobody proves they are the MVP by playing the Bucks and Brandon Jennings... Did you see those last 4 minutes?! He could have been playing against high schoolers and it still would have been impressive. He was perfect. You have plenty against Rose and Bulls and you proved it last season when you were still on the Lebron/Cavs bandwagon.

What does last year have to do with me being against Rose and/or the Bulls? I've never had anything against either of them. I used to root for the Bulls all the time with MJ. And bandwagon? I rooted for the Cavs before LeBron, and I've rooted for them after (and I actually like the T-Wolves more than the Cavs).

So that whole Noah/Varejao, Bulls/Cavs debate didn't happen huh? Gotcha.
