but CU has a better winning tradition than ND football Umm.... sorry Cowboy. I know you like to rail against ND, but they have a very storied football program whose success dates back to the '40's. CU does not have that sort of legacy in ANY sport.

look at CU basketball since the late 90s -- most of NDs legacy is before you were born--

You could be facing a season like Bethel did a few years ago when William Walker and the boys were the team leaders as freshmen. Quite possibly. But if this freshman class lives up to their potential, they could be one of the best classes we have ever had. But I fully suspect they will struggle this year, as our schedule is brutal, and I would be absolutely shocked if we return to Branson. Still, there is a good foundation there. But an Eric Brand kind of big man and a Ryan Bales type of point guard in the class of '09 would work wonders for us!

I hated ND when I was growing up because they were always the team on TV winning games with a bunch of obnoxious fans in my area. If that's what I remember of them as a kid, then I'm pretty sure they having decent recent winning tradition as well. P.S. just because something happened before I was born doesn't mean it doesn't count... or else most of your life would be null and void. ;D

huis. were you discounting BC's legacy because it was long ago?
And if I was on national TV and ranked high in the polls when I won a couple of games and went to a primo bowl just because of what I did before you were born, lots of people would have reason to complain.

CU's roster is now up on their web site. Even a long time CU follower like myself has a hard time finding a familiar face on the list! One senior, and a bunch of freshmen and sophomores. A lot of talent, but a TON of inexperience. Should be a fun ride, though. No one is going to expect anything out of this team any time soon, so we'll be an underdog a bunch of times. Can't wait for the season to start! www.cornerstone.edu/athletics/mens_basketball/roster

CU, despite the fact that your team beat BC in the championship game (though undeservedly)--I like CU and have always thought of the program as exemplary; I actually check the scores to see if you won.
Now I have to go because I'm getting choked up and crying onto my keyboard.
Just kidding--

Are you accusing Cornerstone of cheating in the championship game?

you can get lucky, have calls go against you, the other team can cheat, whatever--- I don't know if he is accusing them of cheating but probably more of "bethel got no calls, and no breaks and are the unluckiest team there is" All the calls went to CU and they didn't deserve to win but did." As we all know, Bethel does not lose games just b/c they aren't the best team out on the court. IF they lose, there is a reason.
