Nick Stoner, a 2011 commitment for IU Football was recently offered by Penn State and spent last week on an official visit at Happy Valley. Today he met with Coach Wilson in Bloomington for the first time and has backed up his commitment to IU and given his "pledge" once again. Wilson has already secured a couple of nice victories in keeping kids committed.... False hope ;D

Nick Stoners mother comments on his solid commitment to Indiana after meeting with Kevin Wilson, two days after meeting with Joe Pa.
"The Stoner family is at liberty to speak now that Nick has confirmed that IU is home for him. Nick wavering on his verbal was a direct result of loosing Coach Lynch. All the reasons why Nick chose IU were still intact other than not knowing if the new Coach would feel the same about him. Coach Wilson took care of that with the first phone call & then a 2hr meeting two days later. Thanks to Coach Lynch, Coach Billy Lynch and Coach Palcic for believing in our son. Thanks to Coach Wilson for removing any doubts that Nick had, and finally, thank you to everyone on Peegs, including Matt Weaver, who have supported Nick Stoner being a Hoosier. We are proud of Nick, proud that he is a Hoosier, and very excited about all the great things to come for this football program! Go Hoosiers!!!"

Your boy Tressel did spend a long time with him in the days after Lynch was fired.

Maybe he wanted him as a walk-on. OSU has 3 available scholarships. Clowney, Grant, Walker, Sturdivant, Pagan, Wynn, Swann, Jennings, Gorman, and Price are all better prospects who have shown at least SOME interest in the Buckeyes. His dad played for the Bucks and Nick went to a camp at OSU. I looked everywhere and could not find Ohio State actually making an offer towards Stoner. And guess what... Stoner plays with an OSU commit. When Tressel visits Hale, you think Stoner WOULDN'T take the chance to talk to Tressel? I'm sorry... Stoner was closer to being a Nittany Lion than a Buckeye.

You think Tressel visits committed recruits and spends four hours with them? Furthermore, you'd think that the committed athlete HIMSELF (Hale) would have spent some of that time with Tressel aye?
In your world...you're pretending that nobody that could be going to Indiana could POSSIBLY be of interest to Tressel...admit it.
Listen...nobody is trying to compare OSU Football with Indiana Football...so take a breath and step back.
Fact is....JT visited Center Grove and spent 4 HOURS with an Indiana commit. Facts are facts......I think he could play at Ohio State down the road....and so does Jim Tressel.

Not this late in the recruiting process. If the Bucks had 10 or more schollies available, I'd believe it. Furthermore, as an IU fan, you of all people should know that recruiting doesn't stop once you get that commitment. You still must recruit them. Don't you think while growing up a Bucks fan and his dad playing there, that Stoner would have at least VISITED Columbus after Lynch was fired instead of Penn St?

No need to visit if the coach is going to come see you himself.
