Injuries have cost the Foresters some impact from recruits - Joliff last year and Kent this year. That doesn't help. Also HU doesn't have the kind of money Bethel has, I guess.

We brought in Caleb Kennedy last year and Chris Kent and Featherstone this year...all three will be contributors...Caleb is a major impact guy now, and Featherstone has gotten good minutes.
Certainly we have not gotten the talent we did a couple years ago. Pretty Hard to top the years of Sheckler, Kock and Ganton...but like always, minus our injuries, our "lesser talent" has been able to still stick it to Bethel. your down years were much more bleak. And barringing the injuries to Kyle and Shively this year, I have no doubt we would definitely be in the top 3 and guaranteed to go to Branson this year...in fact...I really think we have the talent to win the MCC tourney from any seed this year, if we get healthy.
The difference is, no other school acts so certain that every player recruited is going to be an All-American...I honestly stopped listening to any of the hype after welch was blah...shows the hype means nothing. Benford is looking the exact same.

I think it's safe to say that neither Jolliff nor Benford is meeting the hype that some people created for them.

Haha... I remember the "Benford's gonna average 20+!!!" threads. Oh Bethel fans I remember when some HU fans thought that Platt Jr. would be as good of a coach as his father. Silly HU fans!

I think Platt Jr. is doing really well...13-0 this year before his best and then shortly after second best players went down with extended injuries...
