Received word that 6'8 F Tyler Greathouse from North H.S. (Columbus, IN) commits to IWU.
I'm not sure if any other MCC were recruiting him, other than I know that he was never on BC's list from the beginning.

Eh, I will believe it when he is in a jersey...This kid had interest from Butler and Creighton...at the end of the day a bigger school will come calling and I doubt he will turn that down. He has a year of ball to play.

IWU has been hit with a pretty big loss going into the first-half of next season as incoming freshman Parker Stouffer will be sidelined probably for the first semester with a foot injury. Supposedly it was a freak bike accident in early June and after thinking it wasn't a big deal, it turned out to be worse and surgery was required.
This is a pretty big blow for IWU because of their lack of depth in the front-court heading into next season. IWU graduated All-American Zach Coverstone and most of you understand how the IWU offense works with an effective post player who can pass who hits their dangerous outside game. We shall see how this will effect them moving forward.

Maybe you can convince Tyler to get his GED and enroll for this fall.

It's never good news when a player goes down due to injury. It was sad seeing HU get bit by the injury bug last season. It would have made the MCC that much stronger and something you can never predict.

Just saw this article about the Indiana Class Basketball All Star Classic...It appears to be more the "second tier" state talent of mostly seniors but some juniors. I looked it up from the Tyler Ault article I posted earlier...if this kid really likes Huntington, I would be glad to get him. Huntington recruits Randall Lowe (10 points, 2 rbs, 1 assist)and Seth Kisler (16 points, 19 rebounds, 3 Blocks, 2 steals, 2 assists, but an 0-6 from 3 point range -ouch-) playedagainst each other in one game. Bethel's Spencer Khrin (19 points, 6 boards, 5 assists) was on the same team as Kisler. Both were starters, but lost by 3 (so any of those 6 misses could have helped by Kisler...). and in a different game, IWUs Weidener (6 points, 4 boards, 2 assists) played as well. www.excelhsports.com/IndianaClassBasketballAllStarClassic/tabid/101/Default.aspx
