Who will? The Brewers are the only team in the NL that scares me and the Cubs should have home-field advantage if they hold their current lead. Soriano comes off the DL in a week and I don't see many holes on this team then.

I sense a lack of respect for the Cardinals on your part.

Typical Cub fan arogance - I believe the Cards have won more series than any other team in baseball, or had as of a few weeks ago.

If I had to pick the best team in the NL today....I'd have to say the Cubs.
But when it comes down to the end of the season.....my money is on the Mets or Phillies.

If you are talking about World Series titles than you are way off unless you are just talking NL. The Cardinals have 10 titles second most overall, the next most for the NL is 6 by the Dodgers. The kings, and they will remain on the throne for a very, very long time, are the Yankees who have won 26 of the 103 World Series'. 1 out of every 4. Amazing.

Gabe - I meant just series this season. I saw a report a few weeks ago that said the cardinals had won more series this regular season than any other team in baseball. Who knows if that means anything, but I thought it was pretty impressive given where everyone had them at the beginning of the year. They may cause some problems down the stretch....they have the best hitter in the NL and as much as it pains me to say it, LaRussa is always worth a few games down the stretch.

LaRussa is doing an excellent job of managing. That I will give to them. As for the Cardinals themselves? Considering they haven't played a game in Wrigley yet this season and have many tough games away from home to deal with this season, you are right... I don't give them much of a chance.
