justin should expect another spot start for the injured Dice K
Although the club is choosing not to tip its hand, it is likely that top prospect Justin Masterson will be promoted for the third time this season to fill in for Matsuzaka. Masterson has already made two spot starts for the Sox, going 1-0 with a 1.46 ERA.

I'm jealous. Big AL East showdown. Who would've thunk it? Those Rays have a lot of potential for the future just like Feller's Reds.

Except the Rays are in first place. Now. I don't know that they can stay there, but it's a great story. And, they own the #1 pick in the amateur draft this week.

I think the Rays will win about 85 games this year, but not reach the playoffs. They have a great shot to win the Wild Card since no AL teams are really sticking out besides the Rays, Angels, and BoSox but there is a lot of baseball to be played.

Alright kids, I'm off to catch the bus to Boston for tonights game.
Is it worth sitting on a bus for 4.5 hours to save $100?! I'm debating this decision right now.

I would pay more than that to avoid a layover on a flight...

Probably too late to suggest some good reading material for the bus ride...

I'm back and had a fantastic time.
Fenway Park is truly a special place. I've been to games all over the place and I've never seen a baseball stadium with so much electricity, especially on a random Tuesday night.
Justin is a very popular figure in Boston with rave reviews from the local media not only about him, but his wifes cookies (butterscotch and oatmeal).
My regret of the trip was standing in the "waiting area" for the players after the game and having Sean Casey (The Mayor) walk right by me.......and I didn't even introduce myself or meet the man. He will be one of my favorite Reds of all time and I let the opportunity slip right through my fingers.
Also, Justin is staying with the club for the week and will be starting again Sunday.

Another win today for Masterson in another well-pitched game. Perhaps he'll stay up for a while this time?
