4. Bethel will be fine as long as Cowboy and FormerBruin stay on staff. They are the backbone of our fine institution. I have always considered Cowboy the Funny Bone and myself as the Tail Bone.

C - Cody Henson, South Bend Riley, 6'9", Led Conference in Blocks 2 years, According to GoLeafs Article and a Google Search, he was named one of the Nations Top 200 Players by Reebook (?). I have no way of confirming what that actually is, and based on that Goshen didn't write his ppg or rpg in the article, I question its legitimacy. Regardless, height is height, and 7' wing spans don't come along often. Maybe some of you from the South Bend area can confirm or offer thoughts on how good he is. He hit the game winning shot against ECC in the Regionals his Junior year, I know that. henson is not that impressive. just a tall kid.. not very big though. saw him play at sportsfest tonight.

Sports Fest boys basketball: Metro uses excellent athleticism to cruise CURT RALLO Tribune Staff Writer
MISHAWAKA — Just in case Indiana West hadn't gotten the point about the Metro's athleticism as it stared into the barrel of a 26-point deficit, Clay's Brad Cameron darted into the passing lane to swipe a pass.
Cameron then launched a perfect arching assist to George Jones, who soared for a thunderous tomahawk dunk, an exclamation point on a 93-67 victory for Metro in Sports Fest action at Bethel College.
Metro advances to Friday's championship game at 8 p.m.
Metro's quickness harassed the West into 40 turnovers. By contrast, Metro committed 13 turnovers.
Steven Heatherly, a Mishawaka graduate who is headed to Wittenberg (Ohio) University, scored 23 points to lead Metro. Jones, a Clay graduate headed to Indiana Wesleyan, powered inside for 22 points.
Landon Booker of Adams, who will play for Bethel, scored 10 points and ripped off eight steals. Washington's Jourdan Vann scored 14 points, including four rockets from behind the 3-point arc. Riley's Larry King, headed to Indiana State for football, scored 13 points.
Travis Zippel of LaCrosse scored 15 points to lead the West. Bethel recruit Colton Keel of Triton scored 13 points, as did Ben Gilbert of Argos. Keel led the West with six rebounds.
"Defensively, we got after them," said Metro coach Joe Huppenthal of Clay. "Our athleticism was tough for them to handle. Anytime you've got a Landon Booker and Jourdan Vann up front causing havoc like they did, it's good news for us. Our guys took care of the ball. Our kids were so unselfish, that made it fun. It was good to represent our conference this way."
Heatherly, who connected on three 3-pointers in his game-high 23 points, said that Metro took advantage of its speed advantage. The Metro squad led by 10 at halftime, 43-33, but used a 26-10 run to open the second half to sprint away from the West.
"We fed off of Booker and Vann," Heatherly said. "They won't stop running. They got those steals and picked the pace up. We like to run and gun. The defense led to our offense."
West coach Jason Groves cited the Metro quickness as the key factor in the game.
"Their quickness definitely got to us," Groves said. "They came with full-court pressure the whole game. But I thought our kids battled, especially in the first half. I thought we hung in there, but they eventually wore us down and got to us."
Keel, who helped lead Groves' Triton squad to a state title in 2008 and a state runner-up finish in 2009, shined for the West.
"Colton does a lot of things," Groves said. "A big part of the reason we've been successful the last couple of years is that we've had kids like Colton. He's a great kid and a good basketball player. He has natural instincts that are hard to coach."

Spoke with Jourdan Vann's father tonight and he is doing pre-med. Have been favorably impressed with Landon Booker this week. He will be a great addition in the speed and defense dept. for the Pilots this year.
