Sounds like a tough question. Seems to make it hard for a Christian to be in the military... I would hope you aren't serious with this answer. However, I can't say that I am sure you aren't.

100% serious...
What if the other soldier was a Christian...
Can Christians kill Christians?

This is the most ridiculous conversation I have seen on here in a long time.
However, Rub, why do avoid questions so much and tip-toe around things with another question. I see now why you are an Obama supporter.

Should a Christian be in the military? Are all wars unjust? Is it logical to be anti-war and pro-choice?

I see now why you are an Obama supporter. Basically QC, Rub believes you should no longer carry a gun. Next time you pull over a gun wielding, drunk just approach him calmly and provide him with the link to this website so Rub can hurl insults and belittle the guy until he realizes the error of his ways.

Rub............I don't even know what to say to you after hearing your "christians shouldn't be in the military or however you want to word it" I can't say I am all that surprised coming from you but that is so ridiculous.

Well, I would have to say that most of the talk on here is primarily a mid-west view on things, so don't be terribly shocked when not everyone views things the same as you and passing them off as ridiculous.

Sad day when Cowboy is actually asking the best questions.
I am sorry my position is so threatening to you. I guess it is where my convictions led me. If Jesus led you to your convictions, than more power to you.
I have family members who have done tours of duty in Iraq and heard in detail how one of them killed 2 men from his mouth. Certainly didn't sound like something he was finding peace with God about.
It is easier to have your stand on these issues from here. I would have much more respect for you if you support the military, George Bush, and this war, if you would actually enlist. Otherwise it sounds quite hypocritical to me. I would like to think if I actually believed God's will was being completed in Iraq, I would have the courage to enlist and do my duty to God and Country...

I'm not sure what a midwestern view is? Don't Obama and Hillary have midwest connections? I assure you that any of my views have been thoroughly researched and sifted through scripture, and I'm proud to say, have changed over the course of my lifetime.

Nowhere else in America would McCain be winning in a poll by that margin...I think it is safe to say that Obama and Hillary are not "midwest"...By that, I think most would mean "red state".

I'm just wondering what a midwestern view is. And I'm not midwestern, though I've lived here a while.

I'm just wondering what a midwestern view is. And I'm not midwestern, though I've lived here a while. Maybe I should clarify a bit. Though the right-wing, Republican view is not exclusive to Midwesterners (therefore making it tough to call the Midwestern view), it is strongly held there, more so than many other regions of the US (and the world).

I had an interesting weekend.
I was at a wedding down on the Jersey Shore and had the honor of sitting next to a Navy Seal. Across the table was a young lady that had spent the last two years in Green Peace who has adopted the theories of America being bad for the world.
Needless to say, she is voting for Obama and he is voting for McCain.
