Trivia- who had the first dunk during noonhoops? Lunch at Tapatia for the first correct answer... My guess is that Steve M. made the first dunk. If I am allowed a two-for, my second guess would be Steve Brown.

I haven't really planned on coming around anytime soon, but I could very well change that with the proper persuasion. Here is the offer: You get matched up against me with lunch at FT resting on the outcome. The one who scores the fewest points buys the main dish. The one who has the fewest assists buys the soft drinks. The one who has the fewest fouls buys dessert. Gabe will be the official statistician.

I still say we have a MCC noon Hoops tournament--anyone who posts on Bethelhoops can come join the MWF b'ball fest--winning team gets free Fiesta Tapitia courtesy of the losers. And if they are good, we can toss in a DQ dip cone.

I'm the worst basketball player on the face of the earth (outside of rub) but if a few other HU guys wanna get in on it I'm game.

I've been playing since 1994, so I can't speak for the years before that. The first dunk I remember was by Michael Moffit and the most recent that I recall is Seth Doty. I also watched Dave Slater Dunk at least two dozen boneless wings into some ranch dip during a noontime game in 1995.
The regulars from 1994 that I remember are Matteson, Guy Fisher, Dennis Engrecht, Steve Cramer, Drew Peterson, Ken Fox, Lorne Oke, Lightfoot, and then the youngsters Hess and Prenkert. I know Bob Staples, Tim Erdel and Dave Schmidt came around that time as well and have been a force on the court for the past decade. This three headed monster may have lost a step but they are certainly as lethal as ever.

ACH22- you are CORRECT! Lightfoot saw it first hand as he was riding Moffits' back to the rim- I think it's the highest he's (Lightfoot) has ever jumped!
See me to arrange for your reward!

...for you [Cowboy] and Bruin to promise not to foul them every trip down the floor... Wow, that will really take me out of my game. Some estimates are that I get called for nearly 45% of the fouls during noontime. How about I promise not to foul them in the backcourt? OK, how about outside the arc? I mean really, how am I going to get any stats unless I foul? I might as well stand around and do nothing. Oh wait, I guess that's what I already do.

anyone who has played with Engbrecht knows you have to foul him--or at least he calls them fouls.
