IU's staff gets pillaged again! Jerry Montgomery, the defensive line coach, has taken the same position at Michigan. Coach Wilson's having a rough go of it getting assistants and then haning on to them.

Brady Hoke seems intent on not leaving Indiana alone.

when was TCU ever in the top 25 before? they are getting some bounce from going undefeated but they've built a program on coaching and not athletes--how many TCU grads in the NFL? 13. ND has 28. They had a small class last year (only 18 commits) so that will kill you in the composite rankings. ND is only going to take 18-19 next year and they'll face the same problem in the rankings. It's rare to see a class with under 20 commits be in the top 20 (only the OSU's, Nebraska's, and USC's can pull that off). But, if you go by the average star rankings, they were #30 on Rivals.com. last I'm saying because it's not the right thread, but TCU is usually barely in the top 50 in recruiting regardless of size of class and what's the world coming to when Michigan is hiring away Indiana assistants!

Geesh...rumors are now surfacing that Nebraska is raiding the newly formed IU Coaching Staff. DB coach Raymond is apparently on his way out.
The good news is that Wilson seems to have a pretty good eye for bringing in some good coaches.....so much so that power programs want to steal them before the season even starts.

Sounding like the Hoosiers are picking up a commitment from Shane Wynn, a WR out of Ohio.
Wynn is rated as the #23 prospect out of Ohio....and has quite an impressive offer list:
Ohio State USC Miami (FL) Michigan North Carolina Tennessee West Virginia Penn State Illinois

How is that good news if they never coach a game at IU?

Who cares if he has an eye for talent if he can't hold on to it.

Who cares if he has an eye for talent if he can't hold on to it. IU will have a full coaching staff ....... and the amount of major programs coming after his assistants is very encouraging to me. It means Kevin Wilson is bringing in guys that are big time coaches....whether they stay or not.....Wilson is bringing guys to Bloomington that otherwise would never have been able to find it on a map.

Keep drinking that Kool-Aid buddy. You're gonna need it to continue to have faith in Hoosier football.

Looks like IU brought in a Nebraska coach to replace Jerry Montgomery. That coach being Brett Diersen. Diersen has coached a pretty fair D-line/Defensive Tackles crew over the past couple years at Nebraska Id say.

You guys realize this guy was an intern at Nebraska, not the D-line coach there right? Not even a graduate assistant, but an intern. Carl Pelini the defensive coordinator coached the D-line, and assistant Joe Papuchis coached the D-ends. Just thought you'd like to have some accurate information. www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=100&ATCLID=1087444

whoops, yep thats my bad...got the initial info from an IU based new-paper blog/story. Sure that guys editor will be thrilled...
However, I did read on several sources; B1G Blog included, that Jemal Singleton has joined the Indiana staff as running backs coach and recruiting coordinator, from Air Force. It'll be interesting to see his adjustment coming from that what triple option, or spread option look that Air Force ran.
