A sign of things to come? Mid majors beating IU? ;D

UIC is the only mid-major I see pummeling Big Ten schools starting with "I".

Feller, if you think Zeller is the answer in Bloomington, I think you are wrong. I've seen him play 3 times, and was only impressed last year at State. He is extremely soft inside. His height makes up for it playing the smaller schools around the area down there, but he can't battle at the Big Ten level. The only hope is that Crean continues the pick and roll, and someone teaches him how to screen. I'm tired of ball screen with no roll. In our coaching clinic, Crean preached about how important the roll after the screen is. Apparently, he doesn't teach that to his own team.

He's a big piece in the answer..........but not THE answer. Anybody that says he is is out of their mind.
He's a big time rebounder and is able to play facing the basket from outside....which in Crean's offense (or lack thereof) is big. He is however, the best incoming FR in the Big Ten.

He is however, the best incoming FR in the Big Ten. He may turn out to be, but I doubt he wins any Freshman of the Year honors. Remember, it often takes big men more time to develop than guards. I'd be willing to bet that a guy like Wallace at MSU or Henry or Abrams at Illinois will be the Big Ten Frosh of the Year next year because they're more college-ready.

I hope you are right, but I have a feeling he is going to end up like Luke. I find him to be highly overrated in terms of where the state, and IU has put him.

This is why I think Indiana is still 2 years away from making the tournament. They will improve each year, but not as drastically as some think. It's pretty obvious that this year they haven't taken as big of a stride as many had hoped. Creek still hasn't found his stroke since coming back from that devastating injury and the junior class is just not all that good. Zeller will help no doubt, but he won't be a star right away (if ever). When Hulls, Creek, and Watford are seniors and IU's gets their star-studded freshman class of Perera, Yogi, etc. then they will make the Tournament and possibly make some noise. It's just going to take a little more time than many success-starved Hoosiers would like.

They will be in the tournament next year. Book it. I'd loooooooooooooovvee to bet on this, but you still haven't gotten back to me about our signature bet on whether Indiana will beat Illinois and Purdue this year like you claim they will. Heck, I'd be willing to say Illinois or Purdue. ;D

It should be noted that Nic Moores 34 pts, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists against Bloomington South came in a head to head matchup with Xavier bound Dee Davis.

What wager would there be? Signature control? So what.....
UIC called...they wanted me to let you know that you might be over-rating Illinois a tad bit big guy. There is a reason you didn't make the tournament last year and needed the help of God and a terrible foul on Jeremiah Rivers to beat Indiana last year. It wasn't a bad night for your boys...it' just that they aren't that good.

Ha! So let me clarify... the bet is for signature and image and it is whether Indiana will beat either Illinois or Purdue in the regular season this year right?
