Always good to hear a kid that is so focused on his weaknesses and addressing them. Did someone hack Feller's account?

I look at next year's recruits for BC as being simililar to this years' Taylor group. A very talented but green group. Because of the number of seniors around the league this year, seniors who anchor their team, perhaps it won't be quite as brutal for BC's crop of frosh next year as Taylor is finding it this year. With many teams losing key seniors, none more than BC, Taylor could vault to the top. I don't think BC will be horrible, but shouldn't be expected to be a top tier team. Oh well, that's looking too far ahead, better enjoy this season.

Obviously I know very little about these kids since only 1 of them is from the area, but from looking at stats and just what people have posted it seems that Khrin and Cochran will be the 2 most exciting players in this class. And while I agree w/ b2b, I still think BC can have a good team next season. Yes they will be down, but like you said others will be as well. BC will still have Laidig, Welch I think can still be a pretty good big man, Bowerman should continue to develop and the tandem of ward and Booker can be an athletic backcourt. so i don't see it as being a great team, obviously rebuilding, but i think once again the pilots will have a strong team by year's end.

I had a good feeling about Kolbus so I've been following his games at Goshen. He's averaging 16.1 PPG and had an impressive 27 against Fairfield.

For those who have seen him play, will he be a contributor as a frosh?

A day late, but Cody Cochran scored 27 in a win over fellow Bethel recruit, Brandon Gerber's Norwell Knights..in a close Wells County battle. Not sure how Gerber played.

Taylor Kolbus signs today with the Pilots. I know that both coach Bechtel and the BC coaching staff are very excited about this.
Kolbus is averaging 16 pts and 12 rebs for Goshen this year.

Taylor's write up...
Taylor Kolbus from Goshen High School has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his basketball and academic careers beginning in the 2010-2011 school year at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Ind. Kolbus is currently averaging a double-double in his senior season with16.1 points per game and 11.1 rebounds per game. Taylor is shooting 50% from the field as he has connected on 53 of his 106 shot attempts. The 71% free throw shooter has also reached the free throw line 55 times in nine games so far this season. “We are excited to have Taylor in our basketball program,” stated Head Basketball Coach Mike Lightfoot. “He is an outstanding young man who comes from a great family. We have been able to watch Taylor over the last two years and we have been impressed with his work ethic and improvement as a player. Coach Bechtel has done a great job of preparing Taylor fundamentally. He has a bright future at Bethel. Taylor is an outstanding student who will pursue his engineering degree through the relationship with Bethel and Notre Dame.” “We graduate a veteran group including five seniors so our 2010 class will need to be counted on right away,” added Lightfoot. Kolbus will join a Pilots program which is currently 13-2 and ranked No. 3 in the NAIA DII Top 25 Coaches Poll.

There is no such thing as a National Letter of Intent in the NAIA

Since Taylor will be an engineering major at Bethel and doing the 3/2 program, will he be able to play basketball his senior year (while being enrolled at ND)?
