The Buckeyes beat the might North Carolina A&T team last night with a score of 102-61. Honestly though, I wasn't that impressed. I was disappointed with two guys that should be carrying this team, David Lighty and William Buford. Both had 7 rebounds and shot under 40%. If they continue this, I think it'll be a very disappointing season regardless of what their teammates do. The two big freshman did exactly what I thought they would do. Sullinger shot 60% and grabbed 14 rebounds. I expect that to be a norm. Thomas was nothing but extraordinary offense. His first shot was a 3 point swish from the corner. He also shot above 60% and grabbed 6 offensive boards. The two players I was impressed with were Dallas Lauderdale and Aaron Craft. Not only did Lauderdale grab 13 rebounds and block 8 shots, but he made 6 of 7 shots. I expect him to have high rebounds and blocks, but I'll be surprised if he takes more than 5 shots in a game again. Of course, 5 of his 7 shots probably were dunks. I have a friend who works with the women's team, and he said Aaron Craft's handles are the best that Ohio State has had in a long time. Yes, better than Mike Conley's. Craft came off the bench and dished out 9 assists. I expect the Bucks to stick with the starters (Buford, Lighty, Diebler, Sullinger, and Lauderdale) but with a MUCH deeper bench this year will have Thomas and Craft consistently getting 20+ minutes.
#5 Ohio State plays at #11 Florida on Tuesday.

When Aaron Craft (who?) scores a $45 million contract at the age of 21, let me know.
And furthermore.....consider your source on that one. Who was last nights leading scorer by the way?

In other words..........
DeShaun Thomas (Ft. Wayne) was the leading scorer.
And Aaron Craft, the *** 6'0 point guard from Ohio....that had 9 assists against NC A&M Tech State .....has better handles than Mike Conley.
You Ohio people should stick to Football....this is clearly not your thing.

Yup, you nailed it. Prospects get stars based solely off of ballhandling, and saying somebody has better handles than another clearly states they are a better basketball player. Again, don't talk to me about a player until you've seen him play.

Again....stick to football pal.
Again.....dude was a lottery pick in the NBA.....he's making 45 MILLION.....Surely there is plenty of time for this kid who's name I can't even remember could become a better player....but there is also a chance that aliens are going to visit us within the next four years as well. You just never know.

Again, when did I say Craft was a better player? Stop putting words in people's mouths. What made Conley so special was his leadership/maturity, court vision and quickness.
I never said Craft was a better basketball player than Conley, so stop making stuff up and saying irrelevant information.
Guess what? Diebler is a better shooter than Conley, doesn't mean he's a better player because he isn't. Lauderdale shoots a higher percentage than Oden did. Doesn't mean Lauderdale is a better player than Oden was.

OMG! Sullinger is the real deal and it appears Ohio State is too. They're spanking #10 Florida tonight in Gainesville! I only saw the last 12 minutes, but they were as impressive of a 12 minutes as I've seen in a long time. The Big Ten is going to be stacked at the top end of the conference this year!

Well, they were the most impressive 12 minutes of the game. They decided the football team was getting so much attention, so the basketball team played like the football team did on Saturday. The first half left a sour taste in my mouth, but they turned it on in the 2nd half. I still think Diebler and Buford could do better with scoring, but Diebs had 14 points and 4 assists while Buford had 16 on 7-14 shooting, and also had 8 assists. Sullinger and Lighty had monster games. I'm not surprised with Sullinger (26 points, 13-17 shooting, 10 boards), but somewhat was with Lighty. I knew he was capable, but didn't think it would happen because of his passiveness. He had 26 points on 9-11 shooting. The only bench player that made a difference (which is 1 more bench player than last year) was Aaron Craft's 7 points and 5 assists. The team shot 63% from the field and 43% from 3. One team weakness was rebounding. Florida out-rebounded OSU 26-17. Of course, when both teams combine for 62% shooting, not many rebounds are to be had. OSU had 22-8 assists/TO while Florida had 11-18.

All that with Indiana's Mr Basketball riding pine and a small school Ohio boy running the point.

OSU picked up a commitment today from Rivals 2011 #75 Amir Williams.
He's a 6'9" big from Michigan.
Picked OSU over Florida, Purdue, Etc.
