I put little to no stock in ESPN rankings, but he is a nice pick up.

Feller- let me know when you get 4 Mr. Basketball's (with 5 awards) on the same team HIRG- you know, I take every rankingsfor HS players (all sports) with a grain of salt. Who really gets to see every single player? It's kind of like the NAIA team ratings. They give a good base to start with, but nothing more. You just don't have the exposure. I like to look at ESPN, rivals, and scout to just get an idea about players. To be honest, I rarely pay attention to recruits. I'll get excited about a Oden/Conley/Cook or a Sullinger/Thomas/Craft type classes, but that's it. I mean, Koufos was supposedly a better player than Turner. Mullens better than Buford. Je'Kel Foster was a 2-star recruit for us, and was an incredibly key player for us in the Oden year.

Incognito.........your time is coming. Crean is kicking Matta's butt on the recruiting trail.....unfortunately it doesn't start to roll through campus until next season, so I'll have to sit around for one more year while people like you pretend like you've been beating a full strength Indiana program. As Dick Vitale says........get your licks in on Indiana now, because that window is just about shut.
In the meantime......you should be concerned about all the talent that's come through Columbus in recent years and a lack of a National Championship.
I'm labeling you as a member of the "Banner Envy" crowd. There is a seat next to HIRG if you want it.

Sure I want to win National Championships... but I wouldn't be bragging about ones won 40 years before I was born

It all adds up.

It all adds up to IU not having a National Championship in 23 years. Got it.

23 years is far more recent than NEVER.....(in your case) but at least OSU had one back in black and white.

Once again, OSU has a top 10 recruiting class (as of right now). Rivals has us ranked 10th and Sout 6th. rivalshoops.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1154662scouthoops.scout.com/2/1020201.htmlWith 4 seniors and not knowing what Buford's and Sullinger's (and I actually wouldn't be surprised if Thomas left early) plans are for after this season, I'd be surprised if they went after anybody else. This class isn't as top heavy as they have been in years past, but I'll take the depth any day.

Jared Sullinger became the first player since Herb Williams (1977) to record a double-double in his first two games as a Buckeye. He missed his 3rd straight double double by 2 rebounds.

I finally got to go to my first OSU/Michigan game, and it was definitely a good one to see. After a very poor start, the Bucks finally got rolling to win 37-7. Unfortunately, this may be the last time I get to see Rich Rodriguez as it wouldn't surprise me to see him get fired (also wouldn't be surprised to see him stay another year). I've been on campus for the Big Game before, but not since Michigan has been bad, and the atmosphere just isn't the same, which is a shame. Anyways, I don't expect to make it to the Rose Bowl, but I'm ok with that, because I don't want to play TCU. I expect to play either Stanford or Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl. I wanted to play LSU, but that obviously won't happen now.

Ohio State has another Boren brother! The Buckeyes received a verbal commitment from the youngest Boren brother, Jacoby (6'3 275lb center/guard) today. He is smaller than Justin (Sr) and bigger than Zach (So). If you ask Justin or Zach who is the best football player out of the three, they will both say Jacoby is. He only had one offer, but also had interest from Michigan St, Cincinnati, LSU, and Alabama (Surprisingly, NOT Michigan!). He is a 2012 commit.

Sullinger goes 40 and 13, but had to come back from 9 down in the 2nd half to beat IUPUI.

IUPUI?
Looking at the Box Score....OSU had all five starters play more than 30 minutes. Then it went all the way down to 9 minutes for DeShaun and 8 minutes for Lauderdale.
Interesting

The basketball team won in another close game against another very good opponent by beating Tennessee-Martin 100-40. 5 Players scored in double figures. Sullinger had another double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Thomas barely missed one with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Buford had 23 points and 5 assists. Aaron Craft had 7 points to go a long with 3 steals. Next up is IU on Friday in Bloomington. This article talks about Sullinger being the best player in the Big Ten and possibly the country... rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/news;_ylt=ApX9ebu0to0gakhpgqmjhSrevbYF?slug=jn-bigten122810

I don't think anyone in the Big Ten is close to Ohio State right now. It's going to take a serious injury or an unforeseen meltdown for them not to win the Big Ten going away. Here's the way I predicted the Big Ten would finish yesterday:
1. Ohio State 16-2 (1 seed) 2. Michigan State 13-5 (Big Ten Tourney Champs 3 seed) 3. Wisconsin 12-6 (4 seed) 4. Illinois 11-7 (8 seed) 4. Minnesota 11-7 (8 seed) 6. Purdue 10-8 (9 seed) 7. Northwestern 8-10 (NIT) 8. Michigan 6-12 (NIT) 9. Indiana 5-13 (CBI) 10. Penn State 3-15 11. Iowa 2-16
That was before Penn State beat Indiana and Purdue destroyed Michigan today. I thought I'd have some integrity and post my predictions anyway. I think Purdue and Penn State might be slightly better and Michigan and Indiana slightly worse than where I put them, but overall this is what I believe will happen.
