The smoke is getting very thick...
I just hope it doesn't overshadow The Game.

I know everybody (except the Axman) hate Ohio State, but I figured I would update on the amazing recruiting class that Urban Meyer has put together in his very limited time as a Buckeye.
He has signed 4 five star recruits. 6'3 240 DE Noah Spence from Harrisburg, PA 6'6 250 DE Adolphus Washington from Cincinnati 6'3 290 DT Tommy Schutt from Glen Ellyn, IL 6'1 220 RB Brionte Dunn from Canton
11 four star recruits 5'10 185 CB Armani Reeves from W. Roxbury, MA 6'4 260 DE Se'Von Pittman from Canton 6'3 225 OLB Josh Perry from Lewis Center, OH 6'8 288 OT Taylor Decker from Vandalia, OH 6'2 200 OLB Camren Williams from W. Roxbury, MA 5'11 172 CB Najee Davenport from Steubenville, OH 6'2 215 RB Warren Ball from Columbus 6'2 210 OLB David Perkins from South Bend 6'6 310 OT Kyle Dodson from University Heights, OH 6'1 190 S Devan Bogard from Cleveland 6'4 205 WR Mike Thomas from Woodland Hills, CA
And he finishes out the class with 10 three star recruits 6'3 285 OG Joey O'Connor from Windsor, CO 6'4 240 TE Blake Thomas from Cleveland 6'2 225 MLB Luke Roberts from Lancaster, OH 6'3 270 OG Patrick Elflein from Pickerington, OH 6'3 180 S Tyvis Powell from Bedford, OH 6'3 195 WR/P Frank Epitropoulos from Upper Arlington, OH 6'3 245 DE Jamal Marcus from Durham, NC 6'2 273 OG Jacoby Boren from Pickerington, OH 6'1 190 WR Ricquan Southward from Lakeland, FL 6'5 217 QB Cardale Jones from Cleveland
This class is the 3rd best in the country according to scouts and 4th best according to rivals. Not too bad for a guy in his first year with the team.

Disappointing to see the negative impact that the events of the last 12 months have had on OSU's recruiting.
On a more serious note, I heard today on ESPN radio that between OSU and UofM that they pulled more 4 & 5 star recruits than the rest of the B10 combined.

And unfortunately for everyone else, we'll probably be seeing those two playing each other in the B1G Ten Title game every season starting in 2013 when the Bucks get off probation.

they were given permission by the NCAA to recruit before they even took over the program, so while one coaching staff was running the team, Urban and his minions were recruiting--did not sit well with the folks at UM

Michigan did it when RichRod was hired; while Illinois and UCLA did it this year along with two other schools. It's actually a pretty common practice.

Working on the #2 rated wide receiver prospect, Stefon Diggs, as well.

Rumors are that late yesterday/last night, Davonte Neal wanted to be a Buckeye, but Meyer told him no. Reasoning for that is because he thinks he can get Diggs and only has 1 scholarship remaining. Believe it? I'm not so sure I do.

My favorite part is Dantonio being upset about it...meanwhile, he was ALL OVER IU recruits when he took over the MSU job.
