I wonder what this does for IWU recruiting?

Well let's see...they graduate one senior and they add Troyer, then Adler comes along and we find out later that Cox will not be with the team...I think the dots can be connected. As Michael Scott would say... "addition by addition".

A voice of reason from IWU's side of things (Or as close as I qualify)
Cox is out at Indiana Wesleyan. I have no news or idea what is going on with the news of him failing Greg Tonagel's class or if that even has any relevance what so ever for him not coming back next fall. All I know is that I've been told he didn't fit in with the school, wasn't getting along with his teammates, and while he was viewed as a possible solid option next season on the court, he was being more of a detriment to the team than he was worth. Hopefully for his sake he lands on his feet and finds a good education somewhere and has a productive and healthy life.
With Cox being a question mark for sometime now, the need to add Adler was even more evident. His addition makes the loss of Cox much more bearable and gives IWU the solid front-court option to go along with Zach Coverstone, a void they had ever since Dejovaugn Sawyer-Davis headed north to Ft. Wayne. I don't think the Wildcats have any remaining big recruiting targets but we shall see as the summer progresses. As Axman mentioned earlier, they only lost one player from last season because of graduation so they probably didn't have much money to work with.
As far as IWU being a degree-producing institution, I cannot argue with the adult and online programs. However, as a graduate of the traditional, undergraduate session of the school, I beg to differ. While my degree may not hold as much clout as a Taylor or _________ (Fill in your school of choice), I can tell you from my experience, that unless you went to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, or another Ivy League school, your school doesn't matter a whole hill of beans. Especially considering how small all the MCC schools are in the grand scheme of corporate America. I can pretty much gurantee that Indiana Wesleyan University is more well known across the board than any school in the MCC, people can come to their own conclusion whether that's a good thing or not.

Wasn't he responsible for IWU signing a second guy from that region too??? Will they still get that guy?

I think another guy from Georgia brought him in. Josh Williams is on the team already and is from Georgia. I'm not sure if that is correct but I think so, Wesley, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok, so Josh has had no negative reactions over this situation. I was wondering if would be kind of a package deal thing, but apparently not.

Josh Williams has been at IWU for two full years. He red-shirted his first season at IWU and then played a decent role off the bench for IWU this past season as an energy guy who was alot of times forced to play against bigger players due to PBA's lack of depth in the front-court. He also gave his fair share of dunks as the guy can flat out leap.
I believe you guys are correct that he was the connection to Cox. While I think they were friends and probably remain so now, I don't think even he could argue with the problems that Cox was having would be a detriment to the team. IWU went hard after Adler in part because of this situation. I'm not saying they wouldn't have gone after Adler, but the IWU coaching staff basically realized they were back at square one as far as their depth in the front-court after it was evident that Larry Cox would not be back next year.

The more I have thought about it...Adler will be a good player for one year, but I think getting 4 years from Kennedy will be of more benefit to us.
I kind of have to look at it like that anyway, because it is what it is!
here is to hoping that he doesn't pan out as good as I kind of fear.
