Arroyo: 4-4 ERA: 5.29 WHIP: 1.61 K's: 61 Walks: 26 Lilly: 5-4 ERA: 5.54 WHIP: 1.40 K's: 61 Walks: 21 Looks to me like it's Lilly 3, Arroyo 1 with 1 tie.

And over the month of May, Lily went 4-0. Looks like he's rebounding nicely from his horrible start.

Do you honestly believe the Reds are going to finish with a better record than the Cubs or that the Reds honestly have a shot at the playoffs?

Payroll would indicate no.........but I do think they are very comparable to the Cubs in many ways. Once Griffey and Edwin start hitting they ball like they are capable of who knows what can happen.
It's part of what makes me a fan.........I believe they can win.

Growing up in Reds' country as a youth, Feller fits the bill perfectly. Reds fans are jealous of the Cubs.
Reds fans always need to compare themselves to the Cubs, as Feller has been doing...even with no close relation. The only resemblence this year is that the Reds have stock piled Cub leftovers such as Baker, Weathers, Hairston, Bako, Patterson, etc.
The Cubs are a popular team everywhere you go and have a lot of fanfare. The Reds have next to nothing with that and Cubs fans dominate the scene when they play at the Great American Ballpark. Those fans get angry that Cub fans come to games in Cincy.
Reds radio personnel get all bent out of shape as well, they always make fun of Cubs fans on post-game talks. Its stupid and pointless jabber.
Just ask Marty Brenneman about this.

Why would I be jealous of the Cubs?
I've seen my team win a world championship. I enjoy having the Cubs everywhere because the annual collapse is easily witnessed.
It's almost like saying as a Bethel fan, I"m jealous of Huntington. Riiiiiiiiiight.

I can't decide if the Cubs have so many fans because the Cubs have sucked for so long, or if there are just that many white, rich, obnoxious people in the U.S. Could be both, I guess. The White Sox are in Chicago, too, and they went for a very long time without a World Series win, but they don't have the same loyalty. Must be a race thing.

Even though the Reds have been really bad but for a few seasons the past 20 years. Reds fans don't like it that the Cubs get exposure while Cincy is never talked about.
