Typical thuggish behavior from a Cubs prospect: sports.espn.go.com/minorlbb/news/story?id=3671591Seriously, though, while some sort of sanction seems appropriate for the player, this sounds a bit like an overzealous prosecutor who is seeking headlines rather than someone who is doing his job well. Aren't there more important criminal matters to investigate in Dayton? The prosecutor must be a frustrated Reds fan - oh, wait, that's redundant. Feller, are you really in NY or have you moved to Dayton?

I would think that the kid throwing a fastball into the bleachers would be punishable.......especially if it was on purpose.

I can't decide if I should blame Dusty....Don Baylor....or Kerry's arm.

As expected Geovanny Soto won the NL Rookie of the Year and Lou Pinella won the NL Manager of the Year.
The Cubs picked up Marlins closer Kevin Gregg in a steal of a deal and won't bring back Wood. I hope Marmol closes over Gregg, but who knows. It's sad to see Kerry go, but it's time.

Congratulations to Soto, he did win as expected. I would like to point out that the one vote that votto got for first was not from the reds beat writer. As far as the trade and not bringing wood back, Keith Law has very different opinion of the deal. He thinks that it is a steal for the marlins. sports.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?name=law_keith
