I think that's six conference wins in a row. Take out the two games Miller was out and they would be in first place. They have avenged two of their four losses in the conference. I seem as favorites to avenge another on Saturday against Marian.

Miller totals 24, Schauss 23 and Benner 16.

Great win for Bethel. Really think the 7 guys that deride visiting team is not really a cheer section. If all the students USF can get to a game is 7 guys w/ the IQ of a one eyed sexless salamander when their girls are ranked #1 and their men's team is ranked #11, I rest my case. USF BBall is a class act. Their 7 guy cheer section, not so much.

I love those 7 guys - as long as my team isn't playing USF.
Bethel has put themselves back into the thick of things. There are 5 teams in the league that deserve go to Branson, but only 3 or maybe 4 are gonna make it.

7 out of 2,200 students at any institution is not a cheer section. The Deer Park has a higher participation % on taco Tuesday . Congratulations to S khone on a great game.

How many other students have went to away games to support their team? I certainly haven't seen any at USF. We poke fun at the opposing players and have fun, you're most likely an adult, you can handle it. On another note, Bethel has some of the biggest flippers in the conference hands down. Miller and Smith are among the best for sure. Also, haven't seen a bigger d bag in the league than Smith, besides maybe us fans.

Bethel is the better team, more balanced, and probably would make a deeper run down at Branson. If you take Khone out of the mix USF would struggle to score. (IMO) Khone is the real deal, he pounded the ball inside and scored at the rim and got to the foul line. He is a 1st team all-conference player without a doubt, and POY potential. Are you seriously whining about the calls last night. Basketball 101, don't foul a jump shooter. Miller is one of the best outside shooter in the country, if you over play him he exploits you drawling contact on his shot. You call it "flipping", we call it smart, if you over play you pay. The USF defenders spent the night whining to the officials and I think the refs got tired of hearing them cry. Smith is one of the best defenders in the conference....period. He gets up in your shorts and does not leave. If that is what a d-bag is, I would have loved to have had couple of them on my team every year. That is the type of players you can go to battle with! You defend the posers, (the 7 man intermural choir) but diss on Smith? Seems shallow.

Let's keep it civil; I think Feller and Rubalamp would agree.

I never once complained about calls by the officials in my post. I observed a lot of flopping by the Bethel players. Miller wasn't fouled on the last 3 and everyone in the building knew it. There's a complaint for ya. I call Smith a d bag because of the things he was saying and doing toward us 7 students (we actually had around 9 or 10). I never defended us either. We do things that fans do, that doesn't make it okay, but if a player is doing those same things there's a problem. That could be the reason Smith didn't play after about the 17:00 minute mark of the second half.
All in all, great win by Bethel. Was very impressed with the shooting of Miller. Every time he started to shoot a 3 we looked away because we figured out where it was going (in). Benner showed a great ability to finish under duress although I already knew that from playing against him in high school. Good luck to Bethel the rest of the way.

I expect to see them in Branson along with "hopefully" another 4 teams from the Crossroads. Khone as I stated is a stud, he is powers that team along with Fox's ability to score. There was contact on Miller on the last 3, whether it was a foul or not... the refs called it so I don't fault players for drawing contact and making the refs make a call. Khone creates contact in the post on his drives and gets rewarded for it on a regular basis. That is one of the reasons he is a great player because of his basketball intelligence. I respect the kid and I know another 9 teams in the league that would take him in a heartbeat. It should be a great end to the season, as stated I hope the Crossroads gets rewarded with 5 teams, I fear that only 4 will make it. It goes to show the toughness of the conference.

Don't necessarily agree with the name calling, but I'm not a fan of Smith either. There is a distinct difference between being a hard-nosed, hustling defender, and being completely bushleague. Smith is undoubtedly the latter.
