Wisconsin is ranked in the top ten in all of the polls so far. Not sure why you think they won't be top 3 in conference. Fine... it's still top 3 on my list. Obviously, you didn't read what I wrote about Penn St. Playing on the road has actually been an advantage in that series. Sorry but that's ridiculous. Playing on the road is a distinct disadvantage in college football. These two have played close games the last few years because they've had very equal teams talent wise. This year will be different... OSU will have much more talent, but Penn State could still win the game.

HUIRG mark it down...you know how I get about OSU...but if we get by Miami of Florida we will be playing for the National Championship.....There I said it
And that is a big if
And OSU does not have a documented history of choking on in-conference games under Tressel as did USC versus the Pac 10 for example....you are crazy if you think they will lose to a team they should not this year in the Big Ten....the Miami game however scares the crap out of me

Ron, I'm not as worried about the Miami game as you are. I am actually more "worried" about Iowa, Wisconsin, and Penn St. I think Miami was really overrated last year and the Big Ten is going to be strong this year. I went to the OSU/Wisconsin game last year, and even though our offense couldn't do much, our defense dominated them. Then I see how Wisconsin treated Miami in the bowl game. I think OSU has improved a lot over last year, and I just don't see how Miami has. I'm not as impressed with Jacory Harris as the rest of the nation is.

Ohio State was ranked third in the ESPN Post-Spring Top 25 and had this to say:
3. Ohio State fans can only hope quarterback Terrelle Pryor's performance in the Buckeyes' 26-17 victory over Oregon in the Rose Bowl was a sign of good things to come. Pryor completed 23 of 37 passes for 266 yards in his best college game. He should be even better during his junior season, after undergoing arthroscopic surgery in February to repair his right knee, which bothered him throughout the 2009 season. With tailbacks Dan Herron and Brandon Saine coming back, Ohio State should be much more explosive on offense. The defense must replace departed safeties Anderson Russell and Kurt Coleman, but linebackers Ross Homan and Brian Rolle and defensive lineman Cameron Hayward are budding stars. If the Buckeyes can survive road trips at Wisconsin on Oct. 16 and at Iowa on Nov. 20, they should win their seventh consecutive Big Ten title.

Ohio State already has a nice start for the 2011 recruiting class.
Verbal Commitments Steve Miller- ESPN150Watch- DE, 6'3 226 Jeremy Cash- ESPN150Watch- S, 6'1 185 Brian Bobek- ESPN150Watch- C, 6'2 280 Jeff Heuerman- ESPN150Watch- TE, 6'5 225 Chase Farris- ESPN150Watch- DE, 6'5 265 Tommy Brown- OT, 6'5 332 Kenny Hayes- DE, 6'5 250 Antonio Underwood- OG, 6'3 295 Chris Carter, Jr- OG, 6'4 330 Derjuan Gambrell- CB, 6'1 180
I expect to get the #1 QB in the class in Braxton Miller. He is 6'1 185 out of Wayne HS (OH).
I also wouldn't be surprised to get a 2nd QB in Glenville's (Cleveland) Cardale Jones.
I would love to get LB Trey DePriest out of Springfield, OH (which is about 20 mins from where I'm from), but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go to the SEC.
I also expect WR Evan Spencer out of Illinois to commit. Both his parents went to OSU and he always dreamed of plaaying for the Bucks. However, he said that he is going to stay open-minded and look at everything.
6'0 175lb S Damian Swann (ESPN150Watch) out of Atlanta named OSU as a favorite.
Doran Grant, 5'11 172 CB ESPN150Watch, has his list narrowed down to OSU and MSU in that order. His dad played for MSU, but Doran now goes to the same HS LeBron went to.
Phillip Dorsett (ESPN150Watch), a WR out of Florida, names his favorites as OSU, Florida, Georgia, and UNC.

ESPN Insiders update on DePriest (I would love for him to come to OSU, but I would be surprised if he does):
The coach of ESPNU 150 Watch List LB Trey DePriest of Ohio tells Erik Stinnett of ESPN affiliate CrimsonConfidential.com that he believes that the battle for DePriest will still come down to Alabama and Ohio State, despite recent offers from the likes of Florida and LSU.
"I really think for Trey it's Alabama and Ohio State, 1-2," coach John Cupps said. "LSU has offered, and that's a nice offer, an intriguing offer, and if Trey takes some visits, I expect one of them will be to LSU. But if he had to choose today, I think it would be between Ohio State and Alabama."
DePriest plans to announce a top five after the school year, and while Cupps would prefer he pick a college before the football season, DePriest seems inclined to wait until afterward.
Ohio State has two things going for it: It's located less than an hour from DePriest's hometown of Springfield, and Watch List QB Braxton Miller of nearby Huber Heights, a longtime friend of DePriest's, is considered a strong lean to the Buckeyes.
Cupps, however, downplays the connections: "I don't think it's as big a deal as some people make it out to be. It makes for a nice story and all with them being lifelong friends, but I really think both kids are going to do what's in the best interest for them."

You are the man incognitoman! Agreed on DePriest the Bammers are all excited about him. What are your thoughts on Braxton Miller? I have read up on him a little and I am thinking not to get too excited about him...But I could be wrong.

I live about 20 mins from where DePriest plays and 45 mins from where Miller plays but haven't seen either play. If I'm around next year, I'd like to go see both play. From what I've read (from people that are paid to give their opinions and people who aren't), Miller seems like a less-hyped Pryor. He seems to be smarter with a better arm, but not as big or fast as Pryor. I am very familiar with his school, as my high school played against them in all sports. Wayne is the Dayton version of Cleveland Glenville, if you are familiar with Glenville (type of students, type of way to play sports, etc). Unfortunately, more Dayton players have gone to UM, MSU, and Cincy over OSU. If we could only have one of those top recruits, I'd easily take Miller. DePriest would be great, but we have absolutely no problem getting top LBers or developing 2 and 3 star recruits such as AJ Hawk or Laurinaitis into studs. QB's on the other hand... getting Krenzel, Smith, and Pryor in a row has been a minor miracle.

Yes absolutely agree with that. And you never know what Pryor is going to do. Assuming he has a great year and is a Heisman candidate I could see him leaving early and then next year we would have a loaded team with an unproven QB.
I am somewhat familiar with that area. I grew up in the Columbus area. Cleveland and Cincinnatti have dominated the OHSSA state championships in football though so I am always glad to get a recruit from that area

Ohio State was ranked #6 in Andy Katz' Pre-Season Top 25 for basketball:
6. Ohio State: The Buckeyes did lose the national player of the year in Evan Turner. That's a fact. But they also brought in the top recruiting class in the country to join perimeter players like David Lighty, Jon Diebler and William Buford. The recruiting class, led by big man Jared Sullinger and Deshaun Thomas, give the Buckeyes more balance and plenty of options offensively. The Big Ten was hyped as the best conference by some last preseason. It didn't live up to it throughout the season, but it'll be hard to dispute in 2010-11.
