The Men's Indiana High School Basketball season!!! A day I have personally been waiting for about 3 months to come. 6 A.M. practice this morning got my basketball blood flowing!!!! This is the greatest time of the year!!!! There is something about basketball that makes waking up and 4 in the morning so much easier!!! I might even do some housework this afternoon!!!

Shaw,
I trust that in the interest of history and glory, you will be having members from the late 70's-early 80's Argos Dragons in for a pep-talk to the young men?
Your school is one win away from being Hoosiers #2!

I had heard bits and pieces of what they had done in the past. Walking into that school shows what kind of history is truly there. The pictures on the wall and the banner in the gym. 76 straight regular season wins in a row. I really hope to meet as many of the players from that area at one point or another. Speaking of Hoosiers, I think that is how I will spend my afternoon!!! Might even stop by and see Raid after I watch it!

From Wikipedia:
"Mr. Phil Weybright the Argos Boys Basketball team from 1972 till 1981 hade a record of 171 wins and 43 losses. One of the most amazing parts of his career was rewriting the state history book for 76 straight regular season wins, called "Spirit of '76."
I'm not sure which year it was, but I believe Argos went to the State Final Four!

Yes they did. That was the banner that I saw hanging in the gym this morning and kinda was in awe. Being from a 4a High School, I was unaware of how 1a basketball works. I can't wait to see the passion the night before Thanksgiving!!!!

Argos huh. I used to work in that area. My bro-in-law worked for the school system there until last year I believe. Nice community.

Home of former Bethel NAIA High Jump Champion Richard Warren.
Argos didn't have a Track team....Richard taught himself to High Jump....and hit 7 foot as a Frosh!

That is tough when you are doing the Fosbury Flop. Wikipedia that if you need to Feller. I brought that out of the old dusty closet. It's probably not spelled right!
