Because I want to be somewhat impartial, here's a list of things I like(d) about Bush... 1. He expanded AIDS relief in Africa exponentially. 2. He appointed John Roberts. I like John Roberts. 3. He united the country after 9/11. 4. No public sex scandals. 5. Sheltered his daughters from being the "first daughters" as much as possible. No small feat.

Tamrik, I hope none of those predictions come true. But I do doubt that Obama will take the tax exempt benefit away from churches. If the polls are correct, the evangelicals helped him out a ton tonight (more so than Kerry or Gore). As my accountant says, "There's not a politician with enough balls to take away the tax exempt status away. They don't want to deal with a bunch of angry pastors."

if you think that bush surrounds himself with shady characters, what do you think of obama's friends? you can be against war, but i would hope you are more against terrorists (bill ayers).
i voted against obama, not for mccain, but this guy is just scary.
get ready for a MAJOR war in the middle-east. israel is in serious trouble.

So watching the anti Obama commercials actually hit one person today. Give me a break. I was as on the fence as anyone, but to belive that is just showing your partisianship.

I'm saddened that we've taken another step toward legitimizing homosexual marriage and infanticide BUT we had our election and the losers graciously step down as we inaugurate the new. That is the greatness and uniqueness of this country: its constitution and people.

Politics aside, Obama gave a great speech last night...
“Let us resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long. Let us remember that it was a man from this state who first carried the banner of the Republican Party to the White House – a party founded on the values of self-reliance, individual liberty, and national unity. Those are values we all share, and while the Democratic Party has won a great victory tonight, we do so with a measure of humility and determination to heal the divides that have held back our progress. As Lincoln said to a nation far more divided than ours, “We are not enemies, but friends…though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection.” And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn – I may not have won your vote, but I hear your voices, I need your help, and I will be your President too.”
—President elect Barack Obama, November 4th, 2008

I choose to simply indicate I have read the garbage spewed on here, but no longer care to respond to it.
America has voted.

Loucks, this is no different than the campaign. He has been giving great speeches for over a year. See what over 600 Million and being a good speaker can get you. Now we will see if he can live up to those speeches and promises. And we will see how much he reaches across party lines. I will believe that when it happens.

Good....now we can finally have a reasonable discussion without accusations of ignorance. Go back to your safe harboring friends at University.....and start coming up with your excuses for the failures of Obama, because you know they are coming.
