It's strange to see two transfers from Indiana now playing NAIA Basketball.
Oklahoma City is #1 in the pre-season poll, and will undoubtedly be more of a favorite with the addition of Ellis.

From the looks of their site, OKU is a very nice university. I wasn't aware that they had so many students (3500+) and a very healthy endowment. Look at the people on their roster...
Jamarcus Ellis (Indiana) (Rivals 3-star) Chris Brown (Arkansas State) Vinicius Telo (Eastern Arizona) Rodney Alexander (Illinois) (Rivals 3-star) Na'Vonta Kentle (Western Illinois) Ricardo De Bem (Texas Tech) (Rivals.com 3-star)

Kyle, I also found that Ricardo De Bem was offered by Sampson at IU. He chose the Red Raiders over offers from UNLV, Wyoming, Indiana, Kansas State and Tennessee.

Haha, I SO find myself wanting to say what does this have to do with our specific region?
Unless one of our teams is going to be playing OC... then I'd think that the thread needs to be on the NAIA Athletics board.

It appears they have very strict academic requirements as well.
I read an amazing article on CNN yesterday about Tom Crean and what he inherited upon his arrival at Indiana.
Of the members left on the team when he was hired......there were a total of 19 F's!!!!

Kelvin Sampson really did wonders for IU. I remember when he was coming to Bloomington, outsiders were questioning the academic progress of his teams at Oklahoma (terrible graduation rate) and then there was that phone call incident... I guess both came to roost at IU just like they did at Oklahoma.

19 F's is staggering.
I'm willing to bet that the following did not have any F's.
Eric Gordon (Great Student) Kyle Tabor Finklemeyer Ahfeld DJ White
Those are the kids that are on the record as being very good students.....so if you cancel out the two players dismissed by Dakich, that would leave IU with 19 F's among 5-6 kids. WOW.

It's a good thing Sampson's coaching in the NBA now... no grades to worry about.
