Ivy League hoops? Wow, you are kind of desperate, aren't you? It's weird to think that NYC, with all the great players that have come from there, is in such sad shape when it comes to real basketball. Maybe you should find out where the best playground games are being held.

Maybe you should find out where the best playground games are being held. I want to watch real basketball....with simple rules in place like traveling. I hate playground hoops.

What about St. John's?

I haven't looked into St. Johns yet, I know the main campus/gymnasium is in Queens. They do however, play a lot of games at MSG. I'm sure those tickets aren't cheap, but with that in mind, MSG is right across the street from my office so it's convenient. Fordham looks like a good spot to catch a game or two. They play in the oldest D1 Gym in use...Rose Hill Gymnasium, where Kareem Abdul Jabar played his last high school game. It's a throwback for sure! www.fordham.edu/campus_resources/campus_facilities/athletic/rose_hill_gym_1865.asp

Columbia and Fordham would provide GREAT atmosphere's to watch basketball. The Ivy League, believe it or not is a very fun league to watch and Fordham provides a great atmosphere and worth your money. I'd say either of them would be good buys.

I think that the IVY League would be my best option for finding MCC type of basketball.
I'm thinking that I'll frequent both gyms, in an effort to find some type of liking for a sports team in NY. Otherwise, it will be a long boring life!

He was discussed throughout the summer.
He transferred because he wasn't happy with his minutes.

Feller-
Check out Manhattan College as an option. The MAAC is a decent mid-major conference. Siena (coached by former Notre Dame assistant Fran McCaffery), Niagra and St. Peters are conference foes.
Fordham will give you the best oppenent coverage. Xavier, Dayton and St. Josephs are all tournament teams the past few years. And venue wise Fordham is a classic, and at one time the home of Richard "Digger" Phelps!

Lol. While funny I bet there isn't an Ivy League team that would lose to an MCC team.

While the Dartmouth equestrian team might trump Bethel, I like our chances against their basketball team. I'll even take BC over Harvard and Princeton. My optimism ends when we play the other five teams though.

I'm pretty confident in Bethel being a top half Ivy League team. I think that Indiana Wesleyan could also win a few games in the Ivy.
