Here are VSN's preseason rankings: Grand Island, Neb - The Victory Sports Network has released their preseason Top 25 ranking for the DII women's basketball. The ranking is compiled by John Thayer who is in his second year of coverage for VSN of NAIA basketball. 1. Hastings (Neb.) 2. College of the Ozarks (Mo.) 3. Morningside (Iowa) 4. Davenport (Mich) 5. St. Francis (Ind.) 6. Bethel (Ind.) 7. Northwestern (Iowa) 8. Minot State (N.D.) 9. Indiana Wesleyan 10. Southern Oregon 11. Dakota State 12. Shawnee State (Ohio) 13. Southwestern (Kan) 14. Black Hills State 15. Cardinal Stritch (Wisc.) 16. Sterling (Kan.) 17. Concordia (Neb.) 18. Eastern Oregon 19. St. Ambrose (Iowa) 20. Daemon (N.Y.) 21. Aquinas (Mich) 22. Ohio Dominican 23. Rio Grande (Ohio) 24. Cornerstone (Mich.) 25. Union (Ky.) Not that this poll actually matters, but the MCC is well represented. I think all 3 teams will drop because I would not be surprised if all 3 of the teams were to split there games this year. So basically they are just going to beat up on each other here in the MCC and then go out to NAIA and surprise a lot of people.

I kind of doubt HU will keep their naia ranking for very long.They open against Indiana Tech and then that weekend they play Georgetown&Judson.IWU is also playing in the tournament at HU.They go on the road to play Aquinas,Ohio Dominican&Cornerstone.They have a pretty tough pre-conference schedule then they start conference play on the road at Taylor&Grace.
