This hurts TFC, but it's a good career move by Edu.

Have you been to any TFC matches? By all accounts they are the most rabid fanbase in MLS selling out every single home game since the franchise started.

Unfortunately, I have not. It's actually surprisingly hard to get tickets (hence why every game has been sold out). I've seen BMO field, and it's a great stadium! I've had a number of friends go and they love it because everyone is so into the games. I'll have to post a youtube video. Canada is by no means a soccer power (though they are growing), but since half of the population of Toronto was born outside of Canada, there are millions of soccer fans in the city alone.
I went to a Columbus crew game last month, which was rowdier than I expected as well. Plus there were 5 first half goals, which always adds to the excitement.

Here, opposing teams can barely take a corner: ca.youtube.com/watch?v=pRLq7UR8H6s&feature=relatedHere's the teams first ever goal. Needless to say, they stopped handing out seat cushions after this: ca.youtube.com/watch?v=XQvz01OKrsAI know Vancouver and Montreal want MLS teams as well. Montreal just built a new soccer specific stadium, and Vancouver has supported their USL team very well, so I think they're hoping that team can possibly move up into the MLS and it wouldn't be a typical expansion franchise.

The White Caps would be a nice addition to MLS. They draw great crowds and obviously have large enough market to support a professional franchise.
