I forgot to post about this so it's a little late coming but Joel Grindle is the new head coach at Argos High School. There's a rumor that Jerad Shaw is one of his assistants. Congrats to Joel as another Bethel alum takes a head coaching position.

Shaw has told me numerous times that Grindle will be picking him up when he gets a head coaching job.
Congrats to big Joel.

What was the Argos record last year?

Argos was 15-6 last year. They lost in the first round of sectionals to South Central. Joel will have a decent group to build on as Argos' leading scorer is returning (6'3" JR Scott Sanders). Argos has a very talented upcoming senior class as well (for 1A anyway). Argos' former coach took the Dekalb job.

I am on cloud 9 after reading that. I knew Argos would miss Jon and Carly Everingham and their twins... What a NEAT family and what an enthusiastic coach Jon is... he will be immediately successful at DeKalb!
Argos's school board/administration hit a HOME RUN by hiring Joel Grindle and Jerad Shaw. Both guys played under two of the best high school coaches in the nation's history in Jack Edison and Al Rhodes. Yes, I said in the nation's history... they're right up there with Steve Smith, Stu Vetter, Morgan Wootten, Bob Hurley, all of them.
And then they played for Coach Lightfoot at Bethel too, and we all know he's a great coach!
I predict that the great success that Jon had will continue with Joel and Jerad at the helm!

Whatever you do, make sure you nail down the three options of post offense and the million dollar move. That should win a state title within two years for Argos! If you'd like me to give a demonstration to the team on the Al Rhodes rebound plays then I will do so, just let me know

I believe we perfer more of a post sized player to demonstrate the art of rebounding. Coach Grindle will have to demonstrate the Million Dollar Move. There is a good possibility of me tearing something, and or dribbling it off my foot. I never was one for ball handling. I will teach the art of a good flop!
