Why is that pathetic? Because IU didn't think of it first? I see no problem with that.

MSU essentially "bought" the floor, like the actual wood pieces, and installed it at the Breslin Center in East Lansing.
About them not playing well in Indi, It's up in the air. There NCAA tourney record is 5-0, there Big 10 record isnt steller, and yes HIRG, as of late ... State hasnt played the best in Indi. Who knows.
Them going ot the final 4 ... I dont think so. It would be a pleasent surprise and it would be completely worth my bracket being thrashed, I just dont see it happening. I think L'ville is too strong and mix that with our on court inconsistancy, I dont think it will happen.
But before we even get there, we need to first take care of Kansas. And that wont be any easy task. We played them once before already this season, and took care of business then, but they have come on as of late and are a much better team now then when we played then earlier.

Thats pathetic? Explain ....
There are actually a lot of school who have done this. Kansas actually just did this as well after last seasons run.
I think it is actually a cool idea, and fun way to keep the memory/tradition alive.

Just seems like a tremendous waste of funds.
Besides the Banners, Rings, Pictures, and Clothes........what else do you need to "keep the memory/tradition alive?"
I remember when they installed a new floor at Assembly Hall (1997 I think?) and sold the pieces of the court. It was the smallest and best gift I received for Christmas that year.

It's seems to be the growing norm these days ....
What else are they going to do with the court?
I think "pathetic" was a bit strong. Because if you want to talk about what "pathetic" is ... finishing in LAST place with a 1-17 conference record is pathetic. Not to mention coming in last place at a "basketball school" in God's "basketball state" ... Thats pathetic. Indiana was accused of four major NCAA violations that stemmed from more than 100 impermissible phone calls to recruits by Sampson and his assistant coaches during his first season in Bloomington. Sampson resigned under pressure, short of completing his second season, after accepting a $750,000 buyout. Now what's more "pathetic"?
Maybe you meant to say "silly" or "not wise spending" but pathetic? Come on.

Just seems like a tremendous waste of funds... Let me get this straight... first you condemn it for wasting funds... I remember when they installed a new floor at Assembly Hall (1997 I think?) and sold the pieces of the court. It was the smallest and best gift I received for Christmas that year. Then you laud Indiana for selling pieces of their floor. What leads you to believe Michigan State and Kansas didn't do this when they tore out their old floor and installed the new one? I'm pretty sure that would nearly if not fully nullify the "cost" of the floor they bought from their title run.

Hahaha well we will see how the end of year records compare .... I'm betting State has AT LEAST an 8 game better record then the Hoosiers.
Maybe it is pathetic. But like I pointed out already ... YOU would know all about what is actually pathetic. You been involved in in for quite a few years.
I look forward to playing IU in the tournement this year if we both get that far ... Oh wait ... MSU isnt in the NIT .... oh wait sorry ... IU didnt even make it in the NIT ...

It should concern you that a team with 8 wins is out recruiting your team.
That's all I'm saying.......and of course IU didn't make the NIT or NCAA tournament, apparently they don't let kids' that can't read (see Zach Randolph) stay in school if they aren't going to class.

Either way.........it wasn't a good thing.
I'll sound the alarms if a fully recruited experienced team only wins 13 games in Bloomington....in the meantime, I think we all know what to expect.

I wasn't talking about Illinois, but it's odd you instantly had a "guilty" conscious.
I was just throwing out a number.

Randolph left after a year... how many scholarships does MSU have? It's easy to out-recruit a school if they aren't recruiting much for the year.
