Has anyone read or heard anything about any recruits headed to taylor? They are normally quiet about their recruits, and they normally don't announce things until late, but it seems abnormally late this year. I'm wondering if Patterson isn't done recruiting and they don't want to announce anything until all is done, or if they just aren't announcing it. Anyway, if anyone's heard anything I'd be happy to hear.

I know that Adam Mughmaw and Kyle Hanaway will play next year. That was announced a while back. Jake Sittler has been announced through this board, but no announcement from TU yet.
How many other guys will Coach P. sign?

This is not about Taylor recruits, but stayed tuned as tomorrow you will probably learn about a division one NCAA team having a Taylor grad as the head coach and another Taylor grad being named the top assistant for the same team. I can not tell you the assistant's name yet as their will be a press release from the D-1 school.

Old timer is not trying to keep it a secret but there have been times when a school did not want the word to get out before it sends a press release out and that is what is taking place here. When you see the press release you will see how it is a neat story of friendship on the court carried over into working together on the bench.

I know what you meant oldtimer, just giving you a hard time.
I suspected that since it was on the ESPN ticker last week, that it wasn't something that anybody was holding close to their vest.

Didn't Groce and Chris Holtman spend a couple of years together on Herb Sendek's staff at NC State? Last I knew Holtman was at Gardner Webb. It would only make sense if he joined Groce's staff. Just speculating...

Meanwhile, is TU going to announce any more signings? Or are they just going to give up men's basketball?

s TU . . . . just going to give up men's basketball? I suppose some of us will just have to wait until December 2.

I don't think they're about to give up mens basketball, but I'm wondering what they're doing. I know they have recruits, I've seen them at basketball camp, but the fact that they haven't announced them, and they normally do by mid June, is making me wonder if they just aren't finished.

No word on the recruits for this year or who is or is not coming back yet, but I did find this little tidbit on the hoosierhoopsreports website.
It's rare when an NAIA school gets an early commitment, but sometimes under the right circumstances it can be a perfect fit. Franklin Central point guard, Casey Coons, committed to Taylor.
Curious to see this response, especially tubb, do to his obvious frustrations regarding 08 recruits.
