Eric Brand took some time away from Baylor early this week to visit Bethel. He put the players through some individual workouts and worked heavily with Joey Welch, Wes Laidig, Jake Everett and Aaron Griffey with their post skills.
It was so good to see Eric and what a huge help he was for the players and coaches just in the 3 days he was back in town. It's neat to see former players return to Bethel and give back any way they can.
Eric is still in the rehab process as he had surgery on his ACL roughly 6 weeks ago.

Still my favorite to succeed Eric Brand as the next Bethel mens basketball coach. Huh? I was wondering the same thing. Who is your favorite to succeed Eric Brand as the Bethel coach? Mike Lightfoot?

I don't know Eric at all or his future career desires but I don't see him as the next coach of Bethel College Basketball....

Feller is having post-Boston stress disorder from being around so many Patriots fans for a day. Therefore he's having trouble conveying his thoughts. Wait... this isn't too different than normal!

I don't know Eric at all or his future career desires but I don't see him as the next coach of Bethel College Basketball.... You would have been better off saying "I don't know FormerBruin at all or his future career desires but I don't see him as the next coach of Bethel College Basketball...."

FormerBruin,
You never cease to amaze me.
My point was that it is my opinion that Eric Brand will not be the person to succeed Mike Lightfoot as the next coach of the Bethel College men's basketball program. Not to many guys go the Division I route as an assistant and become head coaches of NAIA Division II basketball programs. Is it something that never happens? Of course it does. Just not a real common occurence.

I don't think Formerbruin was trying to be mean, Wesley.
Isn't the situation you presented exactly what Tonagel did at IWU?

Tonagel was a graduate assistant/player... He was awarded an extra year of eligibility because of injuries and went ahead with his masters degree.
Maybe I'm confused here, but I thought Eric Brand was an assistant coach at Baylor? I just looked at their website and he isn't listed while about 5 or 6 assistants for Scott Drew are. If he is just a volunteer assistant or something then I could see him as a possible canidate at Bethel down the line. I apologize, I thought he was higher up the food chain in Division I.

He was a Grad Assistant for the past two years while getting his masters.....His main focus with the team was the development of the big men.
