So, since 17 Billion people worship Bill O'Reilly, Foxnews has no responsibility for separating itself from the comments of its guests?
Makes sense.
I wonder what role Foxnews had in blowing Obama's pastors comments out of proportion and instantly pushing the same comments and beliefs on Obama, despite his own comments to the contrary. That seems ironic, huh?

Funny how you are willing to hold fox news accountable for what one quest said, yet do not want to hold Barak Obama accountable for what his long-time pastor said....

How is Obama responsible for his pastor's ideas?

I personally don't think he is, just as I don't think Fox News is responsible for what one guest says...

I think FOX NEWS thinks Obama is responsible for his pastor...and then they don't think they are responsible for their guests...
that is the irony...Doesn't matter what I think.

Again, who said I shrugged it off? I'm coming at your ridiculous belief that since this lady said something completely out of line on Fox News that it is automatically tagged to FoxNews and not the person who said it. Maxpower then commented that the Dems are upset because the Republicans have a media outlet. So I took his words a step further with some statistical information that FoxNews is indeed the most viewed of all Cable News Channels, by far. Whats so hard to understand? You have to use some bigger words and make sure you reference a book that everyone should read. Thats why it is hard to understand.

Actually I think it was ABC that first put together the Jeremiah Wright video package that got that whole thing going...
As for the reading thing, I just recommended a book on here. That's OK, though; I'll never apologize for encouraging people to read books. It beats the heck out of watching Fox News Channel or any other TV for that matter. But Rub, you know that there are plenty of conservatives who read, though unfortunately there are also plenty more who don't. However, there are also plenty of liberals who don't read, either. It's a widespread problem not limited to one side of the political spectrum.

Yes, But Colbert doesn't want any conservatives to read any book except his and not to make a habit of it...

How about "that is entirely unacceptable even to joke about." Anything short of that is acceptance. How come we never hear this from ABC when Bill Maher or Rosie O'Donnell makes comments that someone should kill the Karl Rove or we would be better off if President Bush were dead. Those two make those kind of comments all the time. And don't even get me started on Alec Baldwin... I never hear any other news or talk show take responsibility for those comments. This unknown lady on the snippet will have so much more influence that Fox News is responsible. That sounds reasonable. I also find it funny that you, a backer of a candidate whos average supporter has seen every episode of American Idol, would joke that Conservatives are the ones that don't read.

Ha ha...I know huntingtonfan watches every episode of American Idol...I have never watched an entire episode in my life and couldn't tell you more than 3 names of people who have won...actually, I don't even know if I could do that.
That is interesting...so you somehow were able to ask every Obama supporter if they have seen every episode of American Idol? Seems like useless information since, watching a show each week doesn't really mean that you can't read books. I think huntingtonfan has found the time.
I believe Rosie was fired from the network and is Bill Maher is off the air too...and for the record, I despise Bill Maher.
I know it would be so much easier if you could all grasp the fact that I am not your liberal posterchild. Sorry, if someone asking questions from outside the Conservative or die camp...but it doesn't make me a fan or Rosie, Bill, etc., etc.,
If I thought all of you were Ann Coulter supporters, I would really lose respect for this site. Well, I guess not the site...just the Ann Coulter supporters...

How is Obama responsible for his pastor's ideas? I was just a soldier doing my duty and not responsible for the beliefs or words of Hitler, my leader.

How is Obama responsible for his pastor's ideas? Two things.. 1) That's the point....just as Fox News isn't responsible for what their guests idea's/comments are. 2) It's just good to see Obama attached to SOME kind of idea about something. Rather than just talking about hope all the time.

It's not so much that Obama is "responsible" for the ideas of his pastor. It's the fact that Obama himself has said that this person has been a long-time mentor of his. Certainly, a person can have differing views on some subjects from a mentor, but it is a concern when someone's mentor has these types of views. If my pastor made comments that were out of line, I would hope that people would not associate those same views with me. But if a long-time mentor of mine made comments that were out of line, others would have a right to question whether or not those views have been passed on to me. After all, that's what a mentor is for.
