I do agree that whoever they hire as AD, needs to have the school board butt out of his/her department and let he/she run it. Any chance they will hire a female AD?

What does the school board have to do with the basketball programs being a mess and getting worse? HN gets a good leader in there (both boys and girls)and it can get turned around to winning seasons soon. Bottomline is that HN needs a motivator to get kids hungry to play again. Coulod Bradburn be that guy? We will see. Did anyone happen to see the AD's letter in today's Herald-Press? He must be looking to get fired before his resignation takes place. ;D

I'm not sure what foresterpride is talking about. I was just posting a link to the article he was referring to.

I don't think there was anything offensive. He is probably reffering to the portion that talks about Huntington being a tough place to work these days and that administrators should be trusted to run their department. (paraphrased)
HN will miss Joe.

could it be that is why hn has had problems finding coaches? the parents are INSANE Its not that the parents are insane, its the fact they are allowed to complain and run what we pay AD's and coaches to do.

CSHuntington, I got you beat. You think you're old? Jim Miller was at Penn before going on to HN a year or two later. We called him 'Flip' because at pep rallies he would run out on the floor and do a flip. All 5-3 of him. He was also known as the giant killer. He put Penn on the map in BB in his 9 years there. One year SB Adams had a front line of 6-4, 6-8 and 7-2 (Glen Sudhop) and was ranked #2 in state. Their coach, Hadaway, bragged all week on tv sports how we couldn't stop him. Miller was never one to say a lot, but on Friday night our 5-11 center held Sudhop in check and we beat them 52-51. Miller was an incredible coach, don't know why he was only at HN one year.

I will have to research but I thought he was at HN more than one year.
