Okay, WW, but did I bring it up this time? Uh...no! I assume (or at least I hope!) your post applies equally to all, and not just to myself.

I think...the bottom line is that I'll never accept the outcome of that game because Cornerstone didn't score one bucket in overtime. They were handed all of their points on the free throw line....

Fortunately you not accepting it doesn't affect the outcome of the game, Cornerstone won, end of story. be happy for the 3 you have and let it die.

I think the NBA ref scandal goes beyond the NBA

This is Bethelhoops -- we can talk about Bethel basketball all we want. it was a great game and the refs let it slip away in the end. CU played a great game but we believe Bethel should have won--why does that bother anyone.

It's just sad you can't accept reality. If I and the rest of the Huntington fans are able to swallow and deal with our failures in the NAIA Tournament why can't Bethel fans?

So the Cornerstone players didn't even have to shoot the free throws? They were just awarded points with no effort on their part whatsoever?

again, why does it bother you that Bethel fans think we got hosed?

So just out of curiosity. Would you not respond to a fan of one of the three teams Bethel beat for a NC if they claimed Bethel won because they got hosed?

When I clicked into this forum today, it said "NAIA Region 8 Mens [sic] Basketball (MCC/WHAC)". It said nothing about being exclusively a "Bethel forum", much less a place where all opinions pro-Bethel are to remain unchallenged.
You know, I am really beginning to think my time here is drawing to a close. I thought the expansion of this site was to discuss Region VIII men's basketball, both WHAC and MCC. If a strong, recurring subtext here is going to be 'Bethel wins because they're good; they lose because they get hosed.' - then really, what's the point?
I have genuinely tried to show both respect and appreciation for what Bethel (and Huntington, Taylor, et al. for that matter) have accomplished on the hardcourt. Is it asking too much to expect a bit of genuine respect in return for what my team has accomplished?

I wouldn't be surprised if the other teams that Bethel beat in the championship say they got hosed. Nobody likes to admit defeat, especially in a close game where there could have been an outcome. CUfan, I think basketball is talked more once the season starts. Until then, we have nothing else to talk about. The majority of the fans on here are Bethel fans, so that's probably the reason the attitude may seem biased. Just try to ignore it, no matter how hard it gets.
