Huntington hoops is a treasure trove of information about the Crossroads League. Based on information easily harvested from that site, Here is a chart of points/rebounds/assists and minutes contributed by seniors for each team. Chart is sorted in descending order by points lost School | Points | Rebounds | Assists | Minutes | Marian | 80.9 | 72.5 | 58.8 | 69.8 | Huntington | 44.0 | 39.5 | 28.8 | 32.4 | Bethel | 43.8 | 56.2 | 43.2 | 47.7 | IWU | 43.5 | 31.0 | 41.7 | 29.4 | Goshen | 37.0 | 37.2 | 34.5 | 35.3 | Spring Arbor | 36.9 | 16.9 | 16.5 | 16.9 | Grace | 33.4 | 43.3 | 21.2 | 28.1 | Taylor | 28.8 | 23.3 | 25.5 | 26.4 | St Francis | 23.2 | 27.7 | 22.2 | 16.7 | MVNU | 18.6 | 16.0 | 9.5 | 14.4 |
My first thoughts on looking at the results: Marian lost a LOT. Other than Marian, Bethel is the only school that lost more than 50% in any category (rebounding) Mount Vernon lost very little percentage-wise (less than 20% of scoring, rebounds and minutes. Less than 10% of assists) Assuming that minutes lost would be similar to the other stats, these numbers also stand out. HU lost 32% of their minutes and 44% of their scoring. BC lost 47% of their minutes and 56% of their rebounding. They also are the only team to lose less scoring than minutes at 44% IWU lost 29% of their minutes and 43% of their scoring. SAU lost 17% of their minutes and 37% of their scoring. Grace lost 28% of their minutes and 43% of their rebounding. Teams that should improve on the basis of continuity are: MVNU (14.4), USF (16.7), and SAU (16.9) - (though SAU will have to replace a lot of scoring) Thoughts?

Isn't Huntington Hoops the site that only Huntington fans are allowed to join? I thought I tried to join up with Huntington Hoops, or some similar site, a number of years ago and was told I could not, since I was not a fan of the Foresters. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

The fellow that runs the site didn't want to have to police the discussion going on. You can access all the stats that are compiled, you just can't access the discussion forum.

I wonder how much policing Feller and the other Mods have had to do over here? I'm guessing not much given the number and identity of majority of posters.

But things weren't always quite so civil here. Sometimes I miss those days.

How bad will Marian be next year. Lichliter hasn't recruited anything in the 2 years he has been there, consistently dipping into the well of desperation that is JUCO. The only reason he had team last year was because he had 8-9 senior because he redshirted top players the year before.
Makes me appreciate how hard NAIA coaches work to get top talent.
