This is just one of those ugly games you are glad to get behind you. Great MVNU effort. Miller & Benner both struggle from the floor, but hit key ft's. Schauss nice game with 25. Player of game may have been unnamed ref who let players get hammered in head and floored and wouldn't blow whistle (both sides). With game still on line and BC up by 1 the Pilots looked to be caught for 10 second violation in backcourt, but same ref for some reason blows whistle, saving the Pilots a turnover (an inadvertent whistle). He was just 'out of his league' as one commentator stated. Pilots not sharp, but glad to get a win.

Bethel needs to figure this out as they approach tournament time. Eight assist on twenty four made shots is not a recipe for success for the Pilots. When Bethel does everything off of the dribble they struggle to beat the weaker teams. If Miller and Oetting does not get back into the flow I don't see a trip to Branson in the Pilots future. Go back and look at the wins over the top 25 teams this season and see the balanced scoring that made Bethel the team to beat. It is time to start setting some screens and getting teammates open off of the ball, then the slips will be there at the rim. Bethel going one on one to score is a recipe for disaster, when the Pilots become one dimensional bad things happen! We need the next two in the worst of ways!
