fun listening to the talking heads try to figure out what to think of him. I am not a huge fan, and didn't think he would do great, and don't think he is doing great, but you also can deny that he is winning.
One argument I don't buy is the "he hasn't beaten anyone good"...He hasn't beaten the Packers or the 49ers yet, but he has played some teams that were expected to be competing for the play offs (Oakland and Jets) And it isn't like the chiefs and dolphins are as easily beat as the colts. Bottomline, you can only beat who you play, and in very ugly fashion he has beaten 4 out of 5 that he has faced.
What are your guys' take on Tebow's performances?

Can't question the results so far, but when teams actually get some time to gameplan for him, I'm pretty sure they will figure out how to stop him....

Why would it take more than a week to prep for it? Are you suggesting teams coming off Byes should beat them easily?

No, they run a very unique offense that teams will catch on to when they get more tape on it. What they are doing is a gimmic, and those don't normally work in the NFL.

I agree...the Wildcat is much less effective now than when the Dolphins made it popular in the past few years...
But, according to the Jets, they knew exactly what they were going to do (based on Revis' comments)...and they still did it...
I think too little credit is going to the Defense...they make it easier for Tebow to have comebacks by keeping the score low.

Good point about the defense, rub. They've kept Denver in these games, mostly, though I seem to remember someone skunking the Broncos 45-10 or something. Detroit, maybe.

I have nothing against Tebow but he's like the guy who is like 3 for 15 but hits the game winning shot and becomes a hero--if the Cowboys can't won the S, I'd love to see Denver win it with Tebow going 6 for 20 and running for the winning TD

Cowboy, he is much more than "that guy", he motivates his teammates to greatness. I watched the game and interviews on NFL network... guys like Brian Dawkins and Champ Bailey love Tebow because they say he has a huge impact on the entire team.
The guy also absolutely lives for Christ - it's awesome to see our "world" continue to persecute...

Tebow looked better last Sunday but I'm still thinking that reality will hit soon and Denver will be exposed as a mediocre at best team--though that is also what the Philistines were thinking about the Hebrews

Tebow looked better last Sunday but I'm still thinking that reality will hit soon and Denver will be exposed as a mediocre at best team--though that is also what the Philistines were thinking about the Hebrews Enough with the Biblical metaphors about the guy! I have nothing against Tebow himself. I admire his boldness with his faith and his humility. He's a hard-nosed football player and that's great. However, fans bother me with the hero-worship of him. Especially those fans who are Christians and make it out like you need to root for the Broncos now or you are a bad Christian. Or that somehow Tebow's "being persecuted" when NFL analysts critique his QB abilities like Arch did in a previous post. Give me a break! What is it with Christians who over-spiritualize things and take everything to extremes?!? He's an unorthodox quarterback with bad mechanics, a sub .500 passing %, mobility, great leadership skills, and is built like a Mack truck. That's the truth about Tebow on the field. There's a lot more actual persecution going on against Christians across the world... this is not one of them. If you want to cheer for him, fine. I do so on occasion as well. But don't make it out to be some Christian obligation.

Nobody thought UNLV could win with the run-n-gun. But guess what they did. Nobody thought shooting alot of 3 pointers would be a winnig strategy. Now look at college basketball. Nobody thought the wildcat would work, then Miami ran it, won and now almost everyone has some form of the wildcat. Nobody thought Vick running would work, then ...ok bad example.
Different is good, and there will always be naysayers.
Plus, I have always said, some athletes are just winners, something about them make them winners. <cue Charlie Sheen interview> Tebow appears to be a winner. Romo isn't. Joe Montana was a winner, Sanchez isn't.

Tebow reminds me a lot of Vince Young when Young was first starting. I think Young won around 6 in a row or something like that with not so great stats. Known as winner without seeming to play all that great. Where is Vince at now?

I don't think I remember there being as many questions of VY's skill set as tebow has...and Tebow is much more mentally and emotionally stable...

I love Tebow as a Christian brother, I'm not sold on him as a QB. I'm sick of all the fluff and the stones thrown his way, but as long as Denver is winning, he'll be a story.

I don't think I remember there being as many questions of VY's skill set as tebow has... Maybe not as MANY questions, but my point was they both started off winning and were questioned about being unconventional QB's. I don't think at the same in VY's career as Tebow's, we were thinking he had mental/emotional instability.
