School of Mines to reveal Division II future Friday www.theseniorreports.com/ncaad2.htm keep an eye on this, could possibly mean a move back to NAIA, nothing confirmed but it has been talked about...lack of a suitable conf home is the main reason... should it happen, that would shake the ground a little bit...

That was the message Mines athletic director Dick Kaiser had when he stepped to the podium in the Christensen Hall of Fame Room at the King Center on Friday morning. “We want to reaffirm our commitment to NCAA Division II,” he said in his opening statement. “There has been quite a bit of comment in and around the community and in some of the local media wondering because of our non-conference affiliation if we would be making a change relooking at what we had decided over a year ago. …We just want to make sure everyone in our community, and within our campus community understands, we are fully committed to NCAA Division II change.”
