Beginning in the 2012-2013 school year, the WHAC will be expanding by two teams - Marygrove College and Lawrence Tech will be joining the WHAC. I'm not sure exactly how many sports each school will have, but this will bring the WHAC to two teams. As far as I know, the WHAC will remain a single conference, and will not expand to two divisions.
I have also heard rumors that Rochester College might be interested in joining the WHAC, and it remains to be seen what Davenport eventually ends up doing. For now, DU will apparently remain in the WHAC/NAIA (D2 for men's and women's basketball), but the rumor is that it is only a matter of time before they go NCAA D2, despite the fact that they were denied NCAA D2 membership earlier this year.

Is Marygrove adding sports? LT looks like a good pick up and Rochester seems like just a matter of time, but Marygrove seem to struggle.

foresterpride, I think another issue with Marygrove was facilities. CU has played them a couple of times over on the East side of the state, and they played in a couple of different high school gyms. But the women's coach at CU told me that they, along with Lawrence Tech, are coming in. As I said somewhere else, if Rochester comes in, that would bring the WHAC to 13 teams, but I don't think Davenport is long for the NAIA.

The Marygrove website lists that they will join the WHAC and participate in 13 conference sports.
