Another good showing this year for the Hoosier State. Marquise Teague (Kentucky), Brandon Dawson (Michigan State), and Cody Zeller (Indiana) have all been named to the McDonalds All-American game.

and a thousand other Indiana high school players who know the game but won't make anyone's team--but many will star on some very good MCC schools

Big matchup tonight up in Gary, IN.
2011 McDonalds All-American Brandon Dawson (MSU) vs. 2012 McDonalds All-American Hanner Perea (IU) slug it out..

Dawson hasn't impressed me at all when I've watched him play this year. There are a number of players that probably deserved over him, but that's the politics of the rankings.

Dawson had 37 points tonight against Perea's team....Perea only had 12 points and 9 rebounds. He did jack crap against the Illinois teams he played. Sophomore Jabari Parker and Chicago Simeon dominated Dawson and Lew Wallace. Chicago Whitney Young whooped them too and Whitney Young is underachieving this year.

Not creating any beef here HIRG but Wallace was overrated and a one man show this season. In both those blowouts to Simeon and Whitney Young they scored 38 points, Dawson scored half or almost half the points having 17, and 20 respectively. I saw both those games and don't know what else he could have done.

Answer me this bluestreak... who impressed you more: Senior Brandon Dawson or sophomore Jabari Parker?

Jabari Parker is a big time prospect and so is Brandon Dawson.
Without watching either game, I have to assume that Jabari Parker has much more talent around him than Brandon Dawson. I'm sure that wasn't lost on your as you were forming your opinion HIRG?

We'll see what Dawson does at MSU, but I just don't think he's a McDonald's All-American if the rest of his season was anything like those 2 games. And I love seeing Feller admit that an Illinois HS team was far superior to an Indiana one. The same Indiana team that just whooped a Hoosier recruit's team ;D

Answer me this bluestreak... who impressed you more: Senior Brandon Dawson or sophomore Jabari Parker? In that game...Parker, mainly because he showed me even at his young age he could do it all, easily. But heck because of the blowout he only played like 2-1/2 quaters tops, and had like 9 points 7 boards in 2 quaters. As the game progressed Dawson showed me something about himself, because he was playing really hard despite being down almost a half a dollar in the forth quarter. ...I guess we will see next season
