By now everybody knows that Center Grove pulled off the double upset winning in New Castle last night......just figured I'd give this tournament it's own thread.
Teams Involved - 7-2 Washington (Defending 3A State Champs - Cody Zeller - IU) 6-2 Center Grove (Jonny Marlin -IPFW/Andrew Smeathers - Butler) 6-0 Warsaw (Nic Moore - Illinois State 8-0 Bloomington South (Dee Davis - Xavier, Spencer Turner - Belmont)
Morning Session:
Center Grove 68 Washington 64
Bloomington South 65 Warsaw 62
Championship Game
Center Grove 88 Bloomington South 82 (Double OT)
Bloomington South had their 53 regular season game win streak halted...which was the third longest streak in Indiana HS Basketball History behind Oden/Conley at Lawrence North and Oscar Robertson at Crispus Attucks.

From what I have heard, my buddy Nic Moore had a neat set of games! I would say Nic did more than Zeller. I hope Indiana saw what Nic can do! Nic's a guy that coaches need to stop dogging height wise. Nic has the MOST heart of any player in Indiana, I guarantee it! He outscored Dee Davis 34-27 in a head-to-head matchup, and outscored Cody Zeller 28-13 in a head-to-head match up. Both Davis and Zeller are guys that the state press raves about, and Nic clearly outplayed them both! I applaud Warsaw and Coach Ogle for their gameplan against Washington. Really, Warsaw had it the hardest, because they had to scout the Washington/CGrove game while still focusing on what they were going to do vs. JR Holmes and the Panthers.

With all due respect, hard to compare Nic Moore and Cody Zeller......primarily for position differences.
Its not often that Nic catches a pass and has 3 guys guarding him. Personally, I'd love for them both to be going to IU together.
