Pretty exciting news for IWU fans and people like myself who are die-hard Atlanta Braves fans. Brandon Beachy will make his major-league debut TONIGHT against the Philladelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park! Beachy has had an incredible minor league season, going from Double-A All-Star to Overall Minor League ERA title holder to now making his major league debut against arguably the hottest team in Baseball at their band-box stadium tonight in a huge pennant race. Say a prayer for Brandon as I'm sure his nerves will be at an all-time high. For those that have it, the game will be aired on MLB Network. Go Beachy! www.iwuwildcats.com/article/1787.php

He took the loss, tossing 4.1 innings but only allowed one earned run. A dropped line drive by Jason Heward really hurt Beachy's (and the Braves) cause last night.
Beachy struck out Chase Utley on three pitches for his first career strikeout.
All in all, having found out a day before that he was going to be called up and the fact that he was facing the hottest team in baseball at their home (band-box) field in a sell out was pretty impressive in my book.

I am a big Braves fan, and catch slack for it in the office; so it was cool to see a fellow MCC Alum throwing for "my team" he looked good. I thought it was a solid first outing as a whole
