Real Salt Lake becomes the first sub .500 team to win a professional sports championship in American history I believe.
The penalty miss by Donovan was shocking. I've seen him take so many, and I can't ever remember him not keeping the ball low. For him to hit it high like that was just weird.

I was wrong, sportscenter just told me that 2 NHL teams back in the day won Lord Stanley's Cup with losing records, but still.

1938 Chicago Blackhawks (14-25- 9) 1949 Toronto Maple Leafs (22-25-13)
This was also back when the league only had 6 teams, so the probability of a sub .500 team winning the Stanley Cup was much higher.
