During halftime of the Pilots home opener against Judson, the Men’s Track and Field team will be honored for their efforts in capturing the Indoor and Outdoor NCCAA National Championships. Though many see the NCCAA tournaments as lacking credibility in many of the sports over the past several years, the NCCAA track and field meet continues to highly contested by many schools from around the country and region; as they attempt to gain momentum going into the NAIA National Meet. NAIA track and field notables that compete at high levels at the meet include schools like Cedarville, Malone, and IWU. So, this was a huge accomplishment.
Side note the women finished a close second in both meets behind Cedarville, and Malone respectively and have 3 out of the last 4 conference championships.
…Oh and I know some see Track as one of those “side college sports” but for those that don’t thanks for the support!!
