What is the point of having a karma button if moderators are simply going to change someone's count at their whim? There are several examples of this from Cowboy magically getting 1,200 karma points to Feller going from -50 to 246 this afternoon. If that's the way it's going to be why even have it?

I didn't even think anyone messes with karma anymore. I'll give you some points if that'll make you feel better. But, to answer your question, there isn't much point for karma. This is exclusively a Christian board.

Yeah, I figured it might as well be removed. There's not really a point to it other than saying "I like your opinions" or "you annoy me because you post too much or post abrasive things." It's just something for Gabe to mess with and get his giggles from I guess.

What's the point of "the right to bear arms" if ultra liberals can spend 200 years attacking it and changing it so many times?

While "karma" wouldn't be the term I'd use, I like the sense of community feedback. When I drop 5-6 points in a day or two it tells me that I might have stepped over the line or stomped on somebody's toes. I vote for keeping it.

If that's the case for everyone, Gabe needs to stop giving ridiculous amounts of points to whomever he chooses.

But, much like Buddha, if you make Gabe mad, he shows it in very cruel ways (ie. taking down your karma, spitting on you from heaven and calling it "rain", and not giving Dan Marino any Super Bowl rings). If you make Gabe happy, though, then the world is yours. So, HIRG, I think it's time to start getting on Gabe's good side (which is his left side). * I know nothing about Buddha. I was in China for four months though and saw a few Buddha statues.

He already knows we share the same favorite footbal player of all-time in Dan Marino. I guess that's just not enough.

HIRG, I would have given you an exalt if I hadn't already given one to MR for finding the Matrix clip.

Finally paid up on my commitment to give HIRG an 'exalt.' Hope that results in good karma.
