I've only been following the beautiful game for about 7 years now, but this is by far the greatest story I've come across. It's about a lowly PDL (4th tier in USA, think Indiana Invaders in South Bend) player from California that was given the opportunity of a lifetime to go on a 10 day trial with Everton FC (English Premier League) and impressed enough to get a full contract offer. Remarkable Story! These are the kinds of stories that could quickly switch the sports spectrum for kids when they start making decisions what sport they want to pursue...... www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_by_ives/2009/05/mmcb-the-improbable-case-of-anton-peterlin.html

Thanks, Kyle, for linking to this! I love reading articles like that one, man! It's a super cool story, and I hope Anton does well w/ Everton! I looked up his Cal Poly bio... his mom played tennis in college, and he says he's Danish and proud of it... which is awesome! seems like a neat guy www.gopoly.com/index.php?p=sports&id=29911&tab=roster&player=16791Everton's website is really cool, and i bookmarked it as a favorite on my browser... y'all need to as well! www.evertonfc.comwe need to start a thread called Anton's Everton season or something and dialogue about it
